I can’t speak for Doomsday but I fucking hated this show. Remember when TBS used to air every show 5 minutes late, in a dumb attempt to prevent viewers from changing the channel, and we’d have to sit through 5 minutes of Mama’s Family just to watch Saved by the Bell? Maybe this show was brilliant and 1godzillafan will show me the light, but man, who thought pairing this dumb redneck show with “hip teens” from California was a good idea? Whoever was in charge of programming at TBS in the 90’s was a monster.  I still remember the theme to Mama's Family vividly. And it's been so long since I've had cable that I forgot about TBS' bullshit 7:05/7:35 scheduling. I'd have to watch a whole 5 minutes of Wayans Bros. before my Saved By The Bell would start. GTFO! |

Due to the TV programming in D/FW, Star Trek wasn't being shown on any of my local UHF stations until TNG was a big hit in 1987. That's when one of the stations finally began showing classic Star Trek. Until that point, I mostly knew Star Trek from the movies. I did watch TJ Hooker, but not for Shatner or Nimoy.   When I did a search for images of Heather Locklear on TJ Hooker, I was reminded of just how awful it is to be a female lead in a cop show.      |

I rarely watched Rescue Rangers, and when I did it was when it originally aired so I don't remember it. Seeing the characters now, I can't help but notice that one is dressed like Magnum P.I. and the other like Indiana Jones. Was this ever addressed in the show? |
