Five Nights at Freddy's racking up that much money while simultaneously streaming is pretty impressive. Especially for a movie with a 25% on RT. They actually managed to get Gen-Z away from their screens long enough to go to the movies.

Biggest blum opening of all time is def shocking.
But the pg13 rating def helped the numbers - hurt my enjoyment of it but it wasn't as bad as the reviews said if you ask me. It was fine.
Worse horror movies have made money - and I'll take a new horror franchise. How it ends I'm kinda excited to see where they go from here.

It was estimated that nearly 40% were between the ages 13-17. PG-13 was definitely the right call apparently.

Doomsday and I are elderly now. We get lost in the parking lot. We're old enough to remember the original Chuck E. Cheese. I went to one last year for a kids birthday party and it's not nearly as cool as it was back in the day. No rotating mechanical heads, no tickets, no cups of coins, everything is automated and there's one guy who walks around in a Chuck E. Cheese costume that doesn't even have a hat. No novelty or originality at all, the cool creepy factor is gone. |

Most have removed the band. Some still have a single stage with one mouse that simply talks. There is still a location near me that has the band spread and three stages, but who knows how long it will last, though. I guess most of the franchisees felt the upkeep wasn't worth the cost.
