Han Solo grossed $29.2 million in its second weekend, bringing its domestic total to an hilarious $148.8 million. It only took the Star Wars franchise 2.5 years to alienate audiences and tarnish its 40 year legacy. Might as well call it Star Trek from now on. lol. Can't wait for LucasFilm to start pumping out Indiana Jones movies. Meanwhile... Deadpool 2 has risen to $254.6 million domestically and Avengers 3 is beginning to settle down with $642.8 million domestically. Worldwide, Avengers is at $1.9 billion. Opening next weekend is Doomsday's most anticipated movie of the summer: Ocean's 8. |

That's pretty pathetic. Still wondering if my prediction that Avengers 3 will gross less domestically than Black Panther. It's still technically on pace to surpass it but I think it's legs will buckle faster with all the summer competition.

I'll be happy if Infinity War manages to break past Titanic at the domestic box office, which looks likely. There's no way it's beating Black Panther. It looks as though Infinity War is going to stay in the #4 slot at the worldwide box office. Will it manage to gain entry into the $2 Billion club, though? |

Despite being out on blu-ray, Black Panther is still in theatres and is about to reach $700 million domestically. Avengers has until Incredibles to get anywhere near Black Panther. |

Doomsday Wyldstaar Dracula PG Cooper IanTheCool Solo is going into week #3 with $160 million domestically. For comparison, Justice League had made $180 million in the same period. A freakin' Star Wars movie is $20 million behind the fucking Justice League. Justice League ended up grossing $229 million, so if Solo continues this pace it'll barely crack $200 million. How embarrassing. In other news... Ocean's 8 made $4 million last night. That's $600,000 higher than Lady Ghostbusters' opening night, which was a 3D movie, so expect Daniela Ocean to outgross Peter Venkwoman in the long run. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom also opened yesterday but only in Belgium, France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Switzerland and the Philippines and grossed a collective $20.2 million. Keeping track of Black Panther, it's at $699.2 million before entering the weekend. Keeping track of Black Panther, it's at $699.2 million before entering the weekend. This movie has been out on blu-ray for several weeks now and it's about to become the third movie EVER to reach $700 million domestically. Sadly, it doesn't look as though Black Panther is going to manage $700 million domestic without some creative accounting any time soon. The number of theaters continuing to screen it is dropping like a rock, resulting in only $368 thousand last week. The decline is just too steep. I believe it will eventually reach $700 million legitimately, but not until it gets re-released as a double feature before Black Panther 2. Does anyone know anything about how Black Panther performed at the Saudi Arabia box office? It's the first western made film to be screened there in decades, but box office mojo doesn't have any numbers on it. |

Jurassic World 2 opened in a handful of countries this weekend and grossed $150.9 million collectively. Opening on Thursday is the long awaited Fantastic Four 2. Well, at least Ocean's 8 only cost $70 million, while Lady Ghostbusters cost $144 million. If Ocean's 8 manages to pull in the same box office total as Lady Ghostbusters, they'll make a tidy profit. |

Disney called Rick Dicker (Mike from Breaking Bad) to erase the memory of Solo at the box office. Now we can all sit back and bask in the glory of Incredibles 2 opening to $180 million. That's the 3rd best opening of 2018, the 8th best opening of all-time and the best animation opening of all-time. If the movie has good legs, which it will, the movie could go on to gross at least $500 million domestically. What a great time to be a Disney stockholder.
Meanwhile, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has grossed $370 million internationally. It'll open in North America next weekend.

On the All-Time Domestic Box Office list, Infinity War surpassed Titanic to become the #4 top grossing film, just behind Black Panther. On the 2018 worldwide list, the top three films are all Marvel- Infinity War, Black Pather and Deadpool.

Avengers: Infinity War is at $699.4 million domestically (Black Panther is at $699.7 million). Deadpool reached $300 million domestically. Han Solo reached $200 million domestically. Daniela Ocean reached $100 million domestically. Opening next weekend are Sicario 2 and Uncle Drew. |
