I liked kingsmen. Was a solid little flick, thought it might go way over board after the first scene but thought it was a solid sequel.

comingsoon.boards.net/post/39765/quote/364Blade Runner 3 was limp this weekend. The $150 million budgeted film grossed an underwhelming $31.5 million domestically and $50.2 million internationally for a grand total of $81.7 million. The movie needs to make $400 million worldwide to break even. Good luck with that. Maybe next time don’t make a 2 hour and 43 minute movie. No one asked for a sequel to Blade Runner and especially one that long. Right now, the Doomsday directed Geostorm might be a more successful movie for Warner Bros. Who would have predicted that... a week ago. Opening next weekend are Jackie Chan’s The Foreigner, teen horror film Happy Death Day, urban drama Marshal and that biopic about the guy who created Wonder Woman and the lesbians that inspired the character. Seriously. That’s a real movie.

Meh, it's easy to look at Blade Runner 2049's box office and mock it. Personally, I think it's pretty awesome that Warner Bros. was willing to take a chance on something with limited box-office potential and maintain it's less marketable sensibilities. I feel the same way about mother! to be honest. Maybe it isn't great business, but we all sit around moaning about Hollywood constantly playing it safe and pumping out the same garbage that to then turn around and pick on the risks which didn't translate to a return on investment seems counter-productive.

Warner Bros made Geostorm. They’re in the risk taking business.

At #1 this weekend is Happy Death Day with $26 million. Dropping to #2 is Blade Runner 2049 with $15 million. After 2 weeks in release, it has grossed $60 million. Flop of the year. It's now up to Doomsday and Geostorm to rescue Warner Bros. Opening next weekend in 3,000+ theatres IS Geostorm. Its main competition is Madea Halloween Part 2. Doomsday, are you gonna let Tyler Perry push you around? No! Show her who the new sheriff in town is.

I tried dragging three people to geostorm last night... They decided on happy death day instead. Still solid choice really.
One day Gerard... One day...

Jigsaw awakened from his 7 year slumber to torture audiences at the box office. The latest installment opened at #1 with $16 million. That’s Geostorm money!
But don’t fear the Reaper, Hollywood. Thor and the Bad Mom’s are coming, and they bring gifts.

Thor is #1 again with $56.6 million. Two week total is $211.5 million. Daddy’s Home 2 made $30 million and Orient Express made $28 million.
Opening next weekend is Jacob Tremblay’s long-awaited return to the big screen in the remake of Mask. How kind of them to give senior citizen Julia Roberts the role originally played by a young Cher.
Oh.
Something called Justice League is also opening.

Since when is forty young for actresses in Hollywood? Thirty is generally considered over-the-hill for women in the film industry.

Justice League opened to $96 million. And like that , we say farewell to Zack Snyder. Its been a good year for Doomsday. Michael Bay and Snyder had flops. Brett Ratner was publicly exposed as a sex predator. There’s a lot to give thanks for this Thursday. Opening on Wednesday is Pixar’s Coco.

My plan is to wait for every filmmaker in Hollywood to bite the dust due to box office bombs or rape allegations. I work my way in, hire all you guys and rub our collective success in Mirko's face.
