Too bad about Kubo. Haven't seen the film, but that movie deserves a lot more money than it earned.

Don't Breathe is #1 with $26 million. Meanwhile, Suicide Squad has reached $280 million domestically. At this point, it's unlikely to surpass Batman vs Superman, but it came close.
Opening on Friday is... Morgan? That's how we ending summer 2016?

I'll see Sully this week, it doesn't look bad but also doesn't look like a movie we'll be talking about 6 months from now. Fingers crossed that Eastwood has one more great movie in him before he rides off into the sunset.

Doomsday SnoBorderZero PG Cooper Dracula WyldstaarThis video was criticized because they forgot theater revenue (they later added an annotation), but the idea behind the video is not wrong. Once you factor in merchandising, home media, rentals and TV/Streaming rights, many of these "perceived flops" do end up making a decent profit. Suicide Squad is a prime example. Warner Bros made MILLIONS on Harley Quinn merchandise before the movie was even released, and are now making more millions from Halloween costumes, and they have two Top 40 singles from the soundtrack. Batman vs Superman probably made its merchandising budget back from endorsement deals. Walk into any grocery store. You'll see Ben Affleck's face on cereal, chips, soda, etc. Studios make money. Don't let them fool you. They only have flops through creative accounting, so they can have tax write-offs. Look at Donald Trump. He lost $900 million and isn't a homeless guy in the streets of New York.

Good episode, For whatever reason his future guessing on all the blockbusters are under 80% which I doubt Spider-man Homecoming will be under that low of a score.

Doctor Strange and Fantastic Beasts have both been approved for release in China. That likely means another Top Ten title at the box office for Disney thanks to Marvel.

PG Cooper can stop crying. The holiday season is here, and with it, came three new movies. At #1 is Doctor Strange with $85 million. Trolls is #2 with $46.5 million. And #3 is Hacksaw Ridge with $15.1 million. That's nearly $150 million for just 3 movies. And they say Hollywood is dead. Maybe Donald Trump should move to Hollywood and leave politics alone.

It turns out that the Hong Kong scene of Doctor Strange was actually filmed in Hong Kong. That means Disney gets a bigger cut of the box office than the usual 25%. It's on track to rake in about $60 million in the first week in China.

Arrival is #3 with $24 million. Opening on Friday is Fantastic Beasts. Are you excited PhantomKnight ? Did you get your tickets already? I know Doomsday rented out a whole theater just to watch it.
