And just wait until you see 2025! I love how Facebook turned into what everyone hated about MySpace. It's like Al Pacino in The Godfather III. "Every time I'm out, they pull me back in." I wonder how long it'll take before Twitter is ruined too.

Remember a few years ago when Jibbs and IanTheCool complained about modern TV's cause they looked... off. I'm surprised no improvements have been made. My mom bought a 4K TV with a 4K HDMI cable and it's just... an eye sore. My 2000's TV with a standard HDMI cable looks way better. I think TV companies just rushed too quickly to 4K before the technology was even ready. The actors movement is jerky. The lighting looks artificial. The colors pop out too much. It's just all wrong. Granted, maybe we just need to play with the settings - or maybe update the cable box to something 4K compatible. But, I don't know, it just seems like such a hassle.

If the actor's motion is jerky chances are the tv is automatically set to "motion smoothing", which has a similar effect as the high frame rate of the hobbit movies. You should be able to turn it off in settings, but most people dont even realize its on.
This may help the lighting issue, not sure. The lighting problems and colour problems may come from the fact that its just not plasma. Oh plasma, why did you leave us?

I was confused as hell when the technology first came out and I had never seen it before. I believe I watched Back to the Future. I thought they had tried to "fix up" the film on the DVD or something. Thank goodness that wasn't the case and it could just be turned off. I know some people like it and have gotten used to it, but it bugs me to no end. Even on video games it seems off to me. I always have to adjust new TVs in general. My newer smart TV has to have the lighting and color played with quite heavily if we ever have to restore it to factory settings.

TV shows, sports and local programming look great. But movies... I'm not entirely satisfied. If I ever get a new TV, I'll remember to check the motion smoothing thing.

what you can do is google "best settings for _______________" an fill in the model of your tv. sites like cnet have forums where they post the best setting numbers for that tv. Watching movies usually needs a different setting, and you SHOULD be able to set different settings for each of your inputs.

Meh, it sounds cool to have but it's hardly worth the $60 it retails at, let alone the $100 or $200 or $300 it goes for on ebay.

I'm sure they'll bring it back periodically. It will be like Nintendo's McRib. Besides, they're already having enough trouble keeping up with demand for the Switch, the last thing they need is two products they don't know how to manufacture enough of.

Screw you, Nintendo! I have been patiently waiting to get one of these damned things at a reasonable price because they said they would continue making them into 2017 to meet demand. They are still impossible to find because everyone who works at the stores that get them in stock buy them all up to sell on the secondary market. WTF is the matter with these idiots? They have a guaranteed source of income, and they're just going to blow it off?!
I've never pirated a game in my life. Not anymore. I'm going to pirate every NES game there is, because F### YOU, YOU F###ING F###!

Let the streaming wars begin. Pirates benefit in the short term and once the dust settles and cbs all access gets sold off and then DC universe shit gets sold to Netflix (obvious choice and should have been made before they made that silly service) and Hulu gets swallowed up by Disney+ we will all benefit from a limited amount of choices to pay for with a large amount of free ones with in app purchases.

I didn't used to have the problems with iTunes that most other people seemed to have. It's only been in the last few years that I've begun to have issues with it. Apple keeps removing useful features from it that I used all the time to make managing my digital library easier.
