Pretty much every modern 3D movie has been terrible as 3D except Avatar.
It's great for slow, lingering shots only.

You didn't see T2 until '95? I saw it in '91 cause my mom is a cool parent (a/k/a lousy parent). Although I didn't see the original Terminator till after Titanic. |

Terminator 2 is one of my earliest movie theater memories. I can picture the police car shootout scene with the minigun. I have vivid memory of a Schwarzenegger standee at the theater. No clue who Schwarzenegger was. No clue what Terminator was. But it looked badass. I then "found" a VHS copy of Predator in my house which I had ignored even though it was mixed in with my collection. My reaction: "oh shit that's the same guy" makes me laugh in retrospect. |

Ive seen Aliens, Die Hard 3, and Lethal Weapon 4. But I still haven't seen the other movies... Oh and Fury Road but never seen any other Mad Max film... I tried watching Die Hard 1 and got bored... Lethal Weapon looked to much like the 80's and wasn't funny enought like Lethal Weapon 4 was so I lost interest... And Aliens is action packed while "Alien" is a slow burn horror film... All this to say, I know where you are coming from. |

My trust was shaky when he announced Avatar 2. It went even lower when he announced Avatar 3. The rest disappeared with Avatar 4. I just got pissed with Avatar 5.

I trust Cameron to do quality 3D. Avatar was certainly derivative and generic, but the 3D was spectacular. If this new release of T2 was being released as a Special Edition with lots of new and "improved" scenes, I wouldn't trust him for a second. That rarely turns out well.

The colors and shading were perfectly fine as is. There is absolutely zero reason to oversaturate the brightness. This will look like shit within 5 years.
