Not sure why there's an obsession with that character.

Does this mean Han Solo could be in Boba Fett and we have more of a respectful rivalry that has more meaning when Boba tracked down Han in empire.

There's no rivalry between Han and Boba. Han's beef was with Jabba.

Well yes but they could have history other then what we saw. I Thought there was gonna be a Han Solo Movie with Boba in it or vise versa where Boba is the Villain in Hans story other then him avoiding the Empire and Jabba.

If they attempted to create a history between them outside of his capture in the original trilogy, it would have to be completely brand new. As it is now in the OT, there's nothing to assume they were even aware of each other's existence prior to Episode V. For that matter, they don't even say anything to one another. Not once. To give them a history would actually be very strange. Possibly even stranger than Lucas having fleshed him out in the PT, considering his brief, practically non-existent role in Episode VI.

Jabba and Darth Vader could be in the movie. That would make more sense than Han Solo.

These "anthology" films are just appetizers for the real deal. What I want to know is what direction they plan on going after episode IX.

To be honest Vader makes more since to be in Rogue One since he was after the stolen plans in a new hope which the first spin off movie is about.

New movies with Vader is an odd thought.

Dammit, Lucas fucking things up back then too. I always thought Fett's death was super disappointing and that elements of Return of the Jedi felt a little rushed, even the scenes with Luke, Vader, and Palpatine which are easily the highlight of the film.
It's funny, I always read about Lucas wanting to make experimental films. Yet... he didn't. He didn't do shit after Return of the Jedi. Oh sure, he produced and developed Temple of Doom and Last Crusade... and Howard the Duck. But what stopped him from directing? If he wanted to make more films in the mold of THX-1138, why didn't he? Lucas is just always filled with excuses. He doesn't work nearly as hard as a lot of his contemporaries (Spielberg and Scorsese for sure) have, yet he always complains of fatigue and blah blah blah.

George Lucas is the original George R.R. Martin.

I mean honestly, what held him back? He could've pulled a Coppola with 100 times the leeway and just made whatever kind of experimental, independent movies he wanted to. But... he didn't. I'm just sick of every time we hear from or about Lucas it's always excuses with him. "Oh, I knew no one would ever feel my work could stand alone compared to Star Wars." I'm sure it was shit like that. Well, Spielberg didn't stop at Jaws, or Raiders of the Lost Ark, or E.T., or Jurassic Park, or Schindler's List. The real reason? Lucas isn't a good filmmaker, and he's an even worse writer. If he made more movies he would've been exposed. And all that time off from working on his craft is why the prequels turned out how they did.

Hmmm. Do you think they will have another spin-off movie? Do you think Harrison Ford will play or not?

He's always been a producer & business man. I was actually shocked when he decided to direct all three Star Wars prequels. There were other directors who would have been more suitable.

I completely agree. I'm just saying if he still wanted to direct films, why didn't he? When I get the urge to make a short film, I do it. Lucas is just the biggest complainer and always finds an excuse for everything. Our dislike for the prequels and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is because of A. Why we didn't like the re-released content in the 90s is because of B. Why Disney wouldn't work with him is because of C. The guy is generally disliked by people and only has himself to blame. We all know Spielberg, Ford, and Kasdan are so relieved he won't have any input on the new Indiana Jones.

It's possible that he watched as that approach nearly bankrupted Coppola and didn't want to make the same mistake...
