And it's all because of the nipples on the Batsuit, so suck it.

Observations of the 60''s Batman TV series.
The Batmobile has atomic batteries charged by a huge reactor in the Batcave. Jill St. John's character fell into it in episode one. Batman once put radioactive isotopes in Robin's belt so he could track him with a Geiger counter. They had to break into prison when it was taken over by Ma Parker. Louie the Lilac (Milton Berle) caught them, but gave up when Batman convinced him it would be better if he waited for parole in 48 years - that would be 2012. Berle died in 2002.
Nice Going Batman
bonus tidbit: There is an Ambergris Bay in Gotham (Ambergris is whale vomit that is used to make perfumes).

Batman once put radioactive isotopes onto cash used in phoney drug purchases by the Gotham PD so he could track it with a geiger counter in The Dark Knight. There are actually a lot of places across the globe named Ambergris fill in the blank .

Batman once put radioactive isotopes onto cash used in phoney drug purchases by the Gotham PD so he could track it with a geiger counter in The Dark Knight. There are actually a lot of places across the globe named Ambergris fill in the blank . I just watched The Dark Knight again, and yes, he did use radioactive isotopes on the money - but he took out a hand held geiger counter and held it very close to the money to detect the radioactivity. That tells us that the isotopes were probably pretty weak. In contrast, when TV Batman put radioactive isotopes in Robin's belt (damn close to Dick Greyson's family jewels ), Robin was hiding inside a statue in King Tut's lair somewhere in Gotham. The gieger counter was ticking from inside the Batcave and when he exits the Batcave in the Batmobile, we always see that sign that says GOTHAM CITY 14 MILES. So much for the Greyson family tree.

It sure as hell is as good a reason as any for Robin's shrinkage.
