I thought it was alright. Visuals were excellent but aside from Fassbender the characters weren't interesting and the plot isn't as "wow" as I hoped it would be. I've only seen it once, but I assume that on a second viewing I'd like it less. I gave it a low 7 when I reviewed it initially.

The man needs a big hit, no doubt about that. Not really. He's like Spielberg. He's old enough and respected enough that he gets a free pass.

Obviously his career isn't relying on one, but he could use one to get people like us off his back. There's only so much that "The director of Alien and Blade Runner...still!" gets you.

Did people here like Prometheus? Or did they find it overlong and unnecessary like me? I didn't mind the length or the fact that it's links to the original Alien were so tenuous. I didn't like the film because the plot didn't make any sense and the character behaved in completely irrational manners from the very beginning.

Prometheus has its moments, but it's kind of a mess.

Sometimes I feel like I want to go through and watch all of his films I haven't seen. And then I ask myself, do I really want to sit through G.I. Jane and Robin Hood and Exodus? Nah, I'll just watch Blade Runner again.

You people act like Ridley Scott is in a way worse place than he actually is.

2015 The Martian 2007 American Gangster 2005 Kingdom of Heaven 2000 Gladiator highlighted movies i'd give 10/10, so maybe 1 in 5? So you're saying he's made four masterpieces in the last fifteen years? Most directors go their entire career without achieving that much success.
