I went at 1:45, 15 minutes before it started. There was a line with about 40-50 people, but it was already over. Not only did this McDonalds, the only one in the city of a quarter million people to get the sauce, have just 40 packets, but 25 were already spoken for thanks to vouchers given to people camped out when the place opened. 15 packets of sauce for Madison, Wisconsin.

No minimum wage fast food worker needs to be accosted by people just because his corporate overlords didn't make enough Szechuan sauce. Part of the reason there was such a shortage is because many of those minimum wage workers stole the sauce packs and posters to sell on ebay. The other part is gross incompetence by McDonald's, who didn't even come close to making enough to meet demand. Neither of these issues has anything to do with the quality of Rick & Morty as a show. |

My point was more about the fan base, not the show. What does that have to do with watching the show? The creators didn't participate with or encourage said fans. In fact, quite the opposite: People are stupid, but I would hope that wouldn't sway someone from checking out a program. And it is worth checking out. Anytime something is popular, dumb people (of which there are a majority) are going to do some dumb stuff in relation to it. I was upset with how McDonald's handled that promotion, but I didn't get annoyed or snippy with the employees at my local McDonald's. There's nothing they can do about it. Eh... I suppose the fact of the matter is, going by the chain of logic from your original post, I would be getting annoyed with and blaming the show or its creators, which had nothing to do with any of it. Maybe you misworded what you were meaning to say, but that's how it came across. |

There are any number of Trump voters, child molesters, people who use their cell phones at the movies, and other monsters in human form who love all the same things you do.
