This seems like a lovely place to discuss Fox's new Batman series, right!

I think most people gave up on this show. MasterChief and I were the only ones who posted anything about Episode 2.

Hard to give up 2 episodes in. I mean in my view its better then Smallville on some levels but strangely enough still like Shield more.

I'm still more or less on board with it. It has some serious tonal inbalances (exemplified by that scene between Falcone and the Jada Pinket Smith character), but I think it can get past that.

Arrow and The Flash premiere next week. No real need for this show OR Agents of Shield.

Call me crazy, but I'm actually kinda liking it so far. It's no Arrow, but it's holding my attention for the most part.

I'm liking it, so I'll stick around for the season. There was some stuff in the pilot that was just WAY too cheesy for me (the light swinging during the interrogation...way too much).
I like the actors enough to get past the cheese though. I also liked the second episode more than the pilot too actually.

I'm sticking with it. I think it'll find it's feet in a few episodes and then we'll be able to really tell where it's going. It's interesting, but Agents of SHIELD keeps me way more invested in the characters.

Tonight is the last episode before the premieres of The Flash and Arrow. If the show still sucks, I'm done. No reason to waste my time when there's better options.

... What did you think? I wasn't impressed, but it has my attention for some reason. Maybe I'm a masochist or maybe I'm just bored on Mondays.

I'm never going to call this my favorite show or anything and it's certainly not up to the exceedingly high standards of "the new golden age of television," but for the most part I think the show is perfectly entertaining and not really deserving of the hostility it seems to be getting. It's way better than its closest competitor (Agents of Shield) and I've found all three episodes to have their moments.

It is weird, I do love mostly all the casting (except children, they always suck at acting, always) but I hate pretty much all the acting. But it has a longer arch, so it doesn't fall into the same problems as Almost Human.

The only performance I really hate is Jada Pinkett Smith's. She seems to be trying to channel Eartha Kitt's Catwoman, which could be fun if it was on a different kind of show but the character just feels really out of place on this one.

Entertaining, definitely. It shares a lot of qualities that Arrow did in it's first episodes. A ton of potential, and kind of a meandering plot. Gotham needs to be worth saving, in some fashion, even without Bruce/Gordon being in positions to do so. Hopefully Harvey Dent coming soon, that his appearance in the show will serve as a Lex Luthor in Smallville. A hopeful, but inevitable downfall would be necessary. As of right now, Gotham is almost too gone. Oh well. I really enjoy how well the bad guys are written in this show.

Fox just picked it up for a full season and ordered six more episodes, bringing the first season tally up to 22 episodes.

I only watched two episodes and I don't think I can go anymore. Really genuinely terrible, even compared to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s first couple of episodes. It's even worse when you compare it to The Flash's pilot. And I don't agree that it's better than S.H.I.E.L.D., especially in that show's current state, which is so much better than when it began. Also, Iain De Caestecker (Fitz) on S.H.I.E.L.D. is acting rings around each and every person on Gotham right now as well.

I have limited free time when it comes to TV watching this fall, so I have to drop shows as I lose interest. I dropped Gracepoint after one episode (I already know what happens), I dropped Gotham after two episodes (I can't stand anything about it) and I just dropped Once Upon a Time and Bones too. It's hard to keep interested in the last two, the stories are either boring or just overused.

Why did Jim Gordon have a cell phone? They go out of their way to have old crt tvs and computers, how does he have a flip phone from the mid 00s?
