It's even funnier that it's in no way doctored.

I believe him, he obviously isn't stupid... just deeply ignorant about everything he needs to know about domestic and foreign policy while lacking any kind of common decency or good judgement.

I'd say it goes deeper than that honestly.
Trump is no fool, nor is he an idiot. But he is, however, a vacuous demagogue and a crooked used car salesman who sees reality in terms of dollar signs. Trump has no set of beliefs or moral values; everything is in direct relation to profit and image. He's completely unscrupulous, hence the unprecedented number of lawsuits that have been filed against him.
There is a reason as to why he's changed so radically from just a few years ago when he was praising the Clintons. He has simply changed his attitude to match the political climate. Regardless of how wrong he is on a subject, people will take him seriously and believe him because he sounds impassioned and his image has been so carefully sculpted that he seems like one of "us". One of the Fox News anchors even called him a "blue collar billionaire"....

Was very inspired by the Khan's speech at the DNC, but pocket constitutions are kind of stupid right? I get that they're usually just carried around symbolically but still, it's not like the kind of person who's going to carry one of those things around isn't already familiar with this document. Are they worried that without a hard copy of the document they are powerless if someone tries to quarter troops in their house or something? Also, given that the U.S. constitution is about as public domain as something gets I'm sure it should be easy to bring up on a smartphone for free if you absolutely must reference it.

Their son died in 2004, before cellphones were that smart, unless you had a Blackberry. Given how proud they are about their sons service, I'm guessing he's had that pocket constitution since before then. I can see it, kinda like how people still wear dress watches. Odd, old school, but kinda cool. I really hope Trumps disgraceful treatment of the Khan's is the straw that gets more traditional Republican voters to break rank. It's promising seeing so many prominent Republicans condemning him for it.

I suspect that to folks who came to the US from oppressive societies, the notion of a pocket constitution is very comforting. A digital document on a smartphone or tablet doesn't seem as real as something tangible. A digital document can be edited or completely erased with ease. Native born Americans often take a lot for granted that immigrants don't.

I guess I get why the Khans would have one, I didn't really mean to make it about them so much as to use that as a launching pad since pocket constitutions are sort of in the zeitgeist right now.
In my experience the people who walk around with those things are less like the Khans and more like... I don't know, the kinds of people who would get into an argument for an hour over someone cutting in line or something. There's kind of a very specific type of person I tend to associate the little things with, generally not my favorite personality type.

To be honest, this story is unverifiable due to the secrecy of the subject matter but I wouldn't put it past him.
Donald Trump asked a foreign policy expert advising him why the U.S. can't use nuclear weapons three times in one hour, MSNBC's Joe Scarborough said on the air, citing an unnamed source who claimed he had spoken with the GOP presidential nominee.

Trump has hinted at the arming of other world powers with nuclear weapons, along with the possibility of using them on Europe. One of those countries is Japan, who has consistently refused to arm themselves.
So yeah, that does seem likely.

The Fox news message boards at the moment are hilarious. The Drumpf supporters have almost no presence. The few that do support voting for him are only interested in beating Hillary. It's very clear that they just hate Clinton more than Drumpf. It appears as though most of the conservatives have given up.
Meanwhile on Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight site, the polling results on the electoral map have changed massively over the last week. Not only do the polls show the swing states all swinging towards Clinton by large margins, but even a couple of states which were previously thought to be going to Trump no matter what, look as though they may turn blue. Georgia has Clinton at 58.8% and Arizona at 53.3% at the moment. This of course could change back, and probably will, but the fact that the polls are showing such a change at all is very telling of just how thoroughly disliked Trump is right now.

Watch. Clinton will be so ahead in the polls that they won't show up to vote.
Just like Bart Simpson losing class president.

Yup. It's August. No time to get cocky. Wait till October, after the debates, to predict a winner.

I'm wondering if there will even be any debates. Drumpf has already demonstrated a willingness to forgo them. If he does decide to participate in a debate, I suspect there will be only one. When he gets on stage, Clinton is going to hammer him about his continued refusal to release his tax returns, links to Putin, bankruptcies, law suits, Trump University, foreign policy ignorance, bigotry, etc. Meanwhile, Drumpf is just going to stand there are scream about Benghazi, which the Republican investigating committee cleared Clinton on already. He's going to scream about email security, which the FBI has cleared Clinton of already. Then he's going to say something that's a flat out lie, and the moderator is going to call him on it. Since he's Drumpf, he's double down on the lie instead of conceding the point. Once it's all over with, he'll insist that the moderator was biased and had blood shooting out of their where ever, and that the entire debate was rigged against him.

Trump's a psychopath. If we're really lucky, he'll be pushed far enough that we'll see something new.

Maybe, that's what some people are speculating. On the one hand Trump dropping out could draw even deeper skepticism in the electoral process this time among Republicans. On the other hand if he drops out and the Republicans run somebody who isn't mentally retarded it could very well lead to the conservative base (and independents who don't like anyone) gravitating around the new candidate. Or Trump will stay in and it will continue to be a shit show and Hillary will win.

I suspect that Trump's ego won't allow him to drop out of the race. When he loses, rather than giving a concession speech, he'll denounce the entire process as rigged.
Now it's looking as though Trump may lose North Carolina, a highly conservative state that's drawn national attention due to it's racist voter ID laws, bigoted "bathroom laws" and constant gerrymandering.

When he loses, rather than giving a concession speech, he'll denounce the entire process as rigged. You're probably right. Trump will never drop out. This was actually my thought exactly. He can't stand the idea of being seen as a loser, so he'll roll out every excuse he can to justify it. Trump has spent so much time building up his image as a winner, him being seen as a loser would be earth shattering. Personally, I can't wait.
