That's the most shocking news I've heard since Merv Griffin was exposed as being The Elevator Killer

Reasons Why I, Mitch McConnell, Can’t Meet with Merrick Garland
I have a doctor’s appointment.
Being a judge sounds so boring. I just don’t think I’m up to listening to you talk about it.
I have another doctor’s appointment.
I got really drunk on power last night.
I have a family dinner with some lobbyists.
I’m really broke and I can’t get lunch. (Twelve million dollars isn’t what it used to be.)
The doctor wants me to come in for an appointment every day for the next eight months.
There’s a rock in my shoe.
I have to go look at Wayne LaPierre’s collection of gun legislation that didn’t get passed.
I was planning to work on my autobiography, “Mitch McConnell: The Man Who Was a Senator, and Then Became Senate Majority Leader.”
I just think eight people on the Supreme Court sounds sexier.
I left the hat that I like to wear when I meet people at home.
The hat? It’s red and says, “The Name’s Mitch.”
It’s kind of a goofy icebreaker. Makes introductions less awkward, I think.
It also says, “McConnell is my last name,” on the back, so you get a chuckle when I turn around as well.
Even though I can’t meet because I don’t have the hat, I hope my telling you about it makes you realize that I’m a fun guy.
Sometimes I set aside a day when I think about my home state, Kentucky, and appreciate it. I might be doing that.
Mmm . . . just thinkin’ about a nice glass of bourbon right now.
Wild Turkey—give ’em the bird. (That’s a bourbon from Kentucky.)
Get it? Like, the bird is the “turkey” in the name of the bourbon, but it’s also slang for giving someone the finger.
I’m not giving you the finger! I just have to think about Kentucky that day.
I’m having my jowls waxed.
I’m having my eyeballs drained.
I’m meant to be making the noise of air coming out of an inflatable mattress for a number of hours.
Daytime isn’t great for me—sunlight makes me burst into flames.
Do you have lots of blood? Maybe I could meet you if you have lots of blood.
O.K., it’s sounding like we’re both pretty busy. Perhaps sometime in late November?
Oh, yeah! That’s funny. After Election Day, I suppose. Let’s do it!

These terrorist attacks in Europe are gonna fuck up our election. Donald Trump feeds on the hysteria while Bernie Sanders focuses on domestic issues and Hillary Clinton is still be haunted by Bengazi. You guys better start looking at real estate in Canada. We might be moving there soon.

I was just talking to people at work about that no more than a minute ago. He's going to milk this for all it's worth.

I kinda think its funny that anyone would be surprised that Trump would make passes at women and the enemies think that makes Trump Sweat. Im sure Trump making a pass is normal where he works.

In other news, Rob Ford, the ex-mayor of Toronto famous for smoking crack, passed away today. I'm expecting Ian and Cooper to be in mourning the rest of the week.

Anderson Cooper to Donald Trump: 'That's the argument of a 5-year-old'
After Trump said "He started it." about the attack ad by an unrelated Cruz Superpac.

I want Bernie Sanders to get the nomination and for Elizabeth Warren to be his running mate. And I'm not saying that to piss off thebtskink .

and I've been rooting for a sudden ambassadorship for a few years now, so she can't do any more damage in the Senate. But..... different strokes for different folks.

Mitt Romney was your governor but Elizabeth Warren is the bad guy. He wasn't a bad governor. Its weird, but Mass usually does best with democrats in the state house and a Republican governor. While here he was pretty liberal for a Republican.

Wow, the latest episode of Agents of Shield is up on the social and political topic of the day.
It's about a militant group called The Watchdogs, and they're all in a tizzy about aliens becoming a threat to America.
There's a great quote from it that I wish Trump and his followers would understand. The group implodes a building, and Daisy is ready to grab a random member of The Watchdogs and make him talk. Mack tells her to slow down the Gestapo rheteric and think.
"It's not what they do, it's how we respond."

I tend to think that both political parties are a bunch of idiots, but I do like to keep an eye on them both from time to time. Today, I decided to take a look around the article responses on Huffpost and Fox News. It's usually a good barometer of what the general public on either side is feeling. If things stay as they are, Drumpf doesn't have a chance. The HP article responses are usually full of die hard conservatives defending Drumpf from the progressives who pervade that site. Fox responses are generally full of people holding Drumpf up as the second coming, with die hard progressives lambasting him. Not any more. Nobody is bothering to support him on either site, now. All anyone is doing at the moment is bashing him.

Need any further proof Bill O'Reilly is a racist idiot?? The topic was how Trump would win over black voters. Trump's answer: jobs.
"How are you going to get jobs for them?" O'Reilly asked Trump. "Many of them are ill-educated and have tattoos on their foreheads, and I hate to be generalized about it but it's true. If you look at all the educational statistics, how are you going to give jobs to people who aren't qualified for jobs?"
