What are you talking about? He asked the two big questions: how do you plan on paying for all this and how do you plan on winning swing states? He even said afterwards that Hillary is more likely to get the nomination because Bernie's quasi-socialist agenda will get in the way. |

Okay, but considering how we have several times more citizens than even the largest European country it will take a heck of a lot more than just raising taxes on the wealthy to provide that and still buoy everything else we need to get done. Maher was right to call him out, he has to have more than that if he wants to attract anyone outside of the 18-24 age range. |

Yeah, Bill Maher forced him to admit that he'll have to tax way more than the top 1% in order to pay for health care and college. But at least Sanders owned up to it without any hesitation. That's what people like about Sanders. He's not super decieveful. |

Even with the slightly higher than 1% admission, he didn't say at what rate.
Anything higher than 49.99% is unlikely to ever be approved and is frankly immoral. And even at that rate you won't be able to fund what he wants.

Even though he may not get everything he wants to do to be done (and no one gets everything done anyway) I think his approach will do some good for us, and what he will be able to do will be a step in the right direction.
He's right, that no one should be put in the poor house just to be able to afford medical care, and young people shouldn't be saddled with staggering debt when they're just starting out as adults. There are a lot of us who are not as well off as our parents were, and even some of them are struggling to keep what they built up in this day and age.
We have to not only take care of our elderly - but also the next generations to come.
We also have to put people back to work in this country, and can help that and more by rebuilding the infrastructure at home. This country needs to get back on its feet again, and we need an honest and straightforward person in office.
No path we take is going to be easy, but sometimes the hard path is the right one to take |
