As strange as it sounds, this actually reminds me of WW84.  People holding wealth and power always want more, and have zero appreciation of what consequences will inevitably result.  If these people were to put a quarter of their wealth into trusts dedicated to fixing this country's most basic problems, they'd still have more than enough to keep their family's descendants in the lap of luxury forever.  It would also prevent the sort of societal collapse that is on it's way, and will bring their wealth and power crashing down.  But they won't do it.  They want more.  

He needs to call out Mitch by name. Quit pussyfooting with this political theater.

If you aren't outraged that this is the stance that Republicans are taking, you should be.

Reading through the transcript of Trump's phone call is so damn frustrating. The guy just puts out one ridiculous claim after the next and keeps threatening with "the people don't like you, but if you reverse legal democracy from doing what it's supposed to then they'll love you!" The Republican Party has once again found a new low. Political differences aside, I'd be embarrassed to be associated with such a blatant disregard for the principles on which this country was founded on. Republicans always love to tout their rah-rah spirit of the founding fathers and upholding the Constitution and whatever other forms of jingoism they love to stand behind. And yet on the very blatant matter in which Trump is attempting to dismantle all of that, not only are some of them silent but many are supporting Trump's insanity.

A party of cowards and traitors.
