We'll definitely get at least one. Remaining votes are reportedly from highly liberal areas, so the Times are stating flipping both could be reality.
I really want this loss of Georgia to be as humiliating as possible for the Republicans, so they can feel just how badly their clowning around for the last four years blindly following this madman has hurt their party. I want them to hold their goddamn faces in their palms and wonder how the fuck a state as southern as Georgia could possibly go blue. Learn a goddamn lesson from this, you pricks.
But that will be giving them too much credit. Tomorrow they'll be crying election fraud and go back to their normal, bitchy selves.

Democrats need both seats. If they just get one Mitch is still Senate majority leader and will block anything Biden tries to do. And even if Democrats get both they'll only have Kamala as the tie-breaker meaning that all the stuff they've been pumping people up about, adding states, packing courts, ending the filibuster, none of that's happening because there will absolutely be some moderate or red state Democrat who says 'hell no.' Which is probably a good thing for Democrats because 2022 will be here before you know it and considering the state of the House as it currently is and a tied-up Senate at best they'll need everything in their arsenal to prevent both from flipping back to red which could absolutely, certainly happen. |
