Just started watching it. I've only watched four episodes so far, and it could be that I'm just getting old, but it has some cringe inducing dialogue, mostly sub-par acting, and mediocre (sometimes laughable) visual effects.
I'm hoping it will get better, but after looking over the start of the thread, the people who have really been enjoying it have enjoyed it from the get-go. So needless to say I'm not going to be holding my breath, but plan to finish the first season.

I think you'll enjoy the 2nd half of the season... the first half, except for the couple of good episodes... is very mediocre and fillers.

WyldstaarWas Jay Garrick a pussy in the comics too? I doubt it, but can't honestly say. I've never read any of the golden age stories of his. The newer stories featured him as an old man. I think I may have read one or two issues of JSA in my entire life. Most of my exposure to the character is as Heroclix figures in my collection.   |

The arrow crossover episode was a lot better... I did the like the intro to Hawkgirl... Even if it felt rushed.

Yeah, but that episode isn't until March 28th, I think. Speaking of Supergirl, though, I actually played catch-up with it last week, and it's definitely improved since the Pilot. Melissa Benoist may even be just as strong a Supergirl as Grant Gustin is The Flash. But back to this show, I actually thought Zoom would turn out to be Earth-2 Henry Allen. |

Speaking of Supergirl, though, I actually played catch-up with it last week, and it's definitely improved since the Pilot. Melissa Benoist may even be just as strong a Supergirl as Grant Gustin is The Flash. It's better than Arrow and... Legends of Tomorrow... and Melissa Benoist is definitely awesome in the role. Like last season, the identity of the main villain was easy to figure out if you were paying attention. The real question, what are they gonna do with it? Last season, they used the Reverse Flash to launch the multi-verse. So what are they gonna do with Zoom? What is all this gonna lead to and how is it gonna tie in with the other shows? I'm also curious to see what they'll do with Wally West. I'm actually very disappointed with that character. He's supposed to be the funny Flash, and instead, he's being used for the main drama on the show. His character is slowly turning The Flash into Arrow. The point of The Flash was to be the opposite of Arrow. It was supposed to be lighthearted and fun, but it has been super melodramatic lately because of all the West Family stuff. |

My theory just boiled down to similar body structure and a behind-the-scenes close-up of Zoom's face. This identity honestly did occur to me, but it just seemed like too obvious of an answer. I thought it was gonna be a curveball. Guess not. And yeah, they really need to give Wally better material. As for the tone, it's still been pretty fun this season for the most part, but it seems Barry's guilt from the Season 1 finale and now the two-parter has been as much of a contributing factor to the tone as the West Family Drama.
