Season 4 comes to Netflix tomorrow. I'm excited, despite reading an article on Vox that gave away way too much to someone who wanted to go into season 4 nearly blind.
Weirdly enough, as much as I love this show, I remembered last night that I hadn't seen Hated in the Nation. Good episode. I think it should be required watching for anyone who has ever actively been a piece of garbage on the internet.

Watched the first one last night. Not what I expected, but pretty good, and well acted.

sabin26 and I finished the season over the weekend. I liked the first (fucking TODD) and last episodes of the season the most. The story structure of Black Museum reminded me of White Christmas. I need to go back and look at all the nods to other episodes in the episode. Despite Vox's headline promising more humanism in favor of the series' usual nihlism I still enjoyed the season. I want to go back and rewatch it, and maybe rewatch season 3. Hell, who am I kidding? I'm going to watch the entire series again.

Wut? Watch them. The entire history of you is some of the greatest television made in the past decade. Easily.
I don't even really remember the rest.
Look up rankings for all the episodes, watch the best, skip the worst. When it misses it misses hard, but that's the case with most ambitious projects.

I saw a reddit thread this morning recommending Inside Number 9 for fans of Black Mirror. Some people are saying it's better. It's available on Hulu. I watched the first episode and I enjoyed it. It was funny with a dark twist at the end.
So.... check it out!

I would say Philip K Dick's Electric Dreams is very along the same lines as Black Mirror as well, on Amazon Prime. To be expected, considering each episode is based on a PKD short story. I guess it would be worth bumping that thread, come to think of it.

Just started Season 4 and watched about half the episodes. USS Callister was really good, and also enjoyed Black Museum. Arkangel left me exhausted and needing a drink. Overall, despite the external negative word of mouth I've been hearing about this season, it's really not that bad.

So is this in place of or in addition to a new season? It probably would have just been one of the episodes, but the Emmys recently announced that they were tightening their rules for what qualified as a "TV movie" and this is probably a response to that. |
