I know what you mean. If it helps, you'll feel like a kid once it starts. (Until the first stupid thing happens)

Going through these again before the new one and watched Temple of Doom last night for the first time in a long time.
It's a step down from Raiders in every single way and trades a lot of the clever sequences from that movie for broad gags and overdone action pieces, and Kate Capshaw's character is unbearable. Indy himself makes a lot of questionable decisions and seems to just punch his way through every problem instead of trying to solve them.
But Short Round is easily the best part of the movie, the climactic action sequence is really well done, and it's never boring. Temple of Doom has a lot of issues, but it's good enough in the way Return of the Jedi is good enough.
Temple of Doom has George Lucas written all over it the same way Crystal Skull does. You can just feel the inevitable of Howard the Duck being right around the corner.

Lots of people in the comments saying their favorite lines. My favorite exchange has to be…
‘Those men are trying to kill us.’ ‘I KNOW DAD!’

Last Crusade is my favorite because it has "The DOG?!?! You were named after the dog?!"

I'm looking for showtimes near me, looks like there are plenty both today and tomorrow. There are also plenty, plenty of seats available throughout. Not sure how that bodes for the weekend numbers...

Random review headlines seem mixed to disappointed. I'll still watch as it's an Indiana Jones but not holding my breath.
