Goodfellas is a hell of a ride and probably the slightly more enjoyable of the two to watch, but The Godfather is drama of the highest order, like a Shakespeare play brought to life in 20th century America.

I've enjoyed Goodfellas and have seen it several times however I wouldn't say it's on my list of favorite films either. Some people on the other hand put it as #1 ever made. Yeah, I'm not in love with GoodFellas, either. I personally find The Departed to be more superior.
Anyway, The Godfather gets my vote.

This isn't fair, Doomsday.
Anyway, I'm voting Goodfellas. The Godfather is excellent and one of the best films of all time, but so is Goodfellas, and few films are as perfect as Goodfellas.

"Casino" and "The Departed" are good movies, not great like "The Godfather" and "Goodfellas". Both movies are 10/10's in my book, but gotta give "The Godfather" the edge because even though "Goodfellas" is a more enjoyable film as Dracula said, I find myself returning to "The Godfather" more. Still only saw Part III once, probably will leave that alone for awhile because I didn't hate it and want to think it still remains in the "not as bad as advertised" section.

The first time I watched Taxi Driver I was about 14. My dad and I had 'guys weekend' because everyone else was gone doing something or other. We wandered around Blockbuster for about 30 minutes before he found Taxi Driver. 'This is a classic' he said. So we turned it on and got to the part where Bobby DeNiro is 'buying' Jodie Foster from Harvey Keitel. Harvey says something like 'you can fuck her in the mouth, you can fuck her in the ass, you can come in her mouth, you can come on her face.' My dad was like 'uhhhh...I don't remember that part.'
