gawker.com/sony-hack-reveals-25-page-list-of-reasons-it-sucks-to-w-1666264634Sony Hack Reveals 25-Page List of Reasons It Sucks To Work at SonyA gargantuan new hack of Sony Pictures Entertainment is revealing an almost unfathomable amount of sensitive insider information, from countless social security numbers to embarrassing salary data. And we just came across this: a giant list of workplace complaints. The full trove will take a long time to sift through, but for now, here's this: a plain, un-encrypted text file innocuously titled "Sony_2012_Comments." Inside is what looks like a raw dump of negative employee feedback. None of it is tied to any particular employee, so it's impossible to determine where one man's griping begins and another's ends, but it makes it clear there's plenty of unhappiness at the struggling studio, even if it hadn't been hacked to hell and back. Above all: people who work at Sony are fucking tired of bad Adam Sandler movies. Below are some highlights of a very, very long file: There is a general "blah-ness" to the films we produce. Althought we manage to produce an innovative film once in awhile (Social Network, Moneyball, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), we continue to be saddled with the mundane, formulaic Adam Sandler films. Let's raise the bar a little on the films we produce and inspire employees that they are working on the next Social Network. In TV and Theatrical, I hope management looks closely at the money spent on development and term deals to ensure efficiency. There are a lot of term deal personnel as well as creative personnel, yet we only release a dozen or so Columbia Pictures a year, for example. And will we still be paying for Adam Sandler? Why?It is commenable that SPE understands/supports the importance of risk-taking, particularly in how we pick films to greenlight. However, the studio needs to change deal structure that has been in place with Happy Madison, as this arrangement has disproportionately benefitted Adam Sandler and his team, relative to SPE.

This is awesome! I can't wait for more of it to be sorted through, glad to hear the employees want some substance to stand behind something they're proud of. The memo is essentially more "The Social Network" less "Jack and Jill", I think it's hilarious.

Thankfully, audiences are getting smart and all these Sandler movies have been flopping lately.

"Grown Ups 2" still made bank though, and that might be his movie with the least amount of effort of them all. Just a bunch of comedians collecting paychecks for showing up and getting hit in the balls and making pee pee jokes.

That's because the first Grown Ups was a success so people showed up for the sequel. I'm not sure a Grown Ups 3 would be a hit.

Semi-personal story about Adam Sandler. My sister in laws 13yr old brother, also named Adam, got diagnosed with cancer. This was back around 2003. It got really bad, they had to take one of his legs off at one point. He semi-recovered but then the cancer came back BAD. Make a Wish offered him a "wish" and his was to meet Sandler. Sandler agreed and took the whole family out to a fancy steak dinner (was about 8 of them there for the trip). Young Adam ordered a steak, medium rare, and when it came out he was unable to handle a knife properly to cut it, and he didnt want his mother to embarrass him by cutting it for him so he just picked up the steak in his hands and took a bite out of it. Sandler saw this, put his knife and fork down and ate his steak that way too. Young Adam talked about this meeting pretty much every day until he passed away, and he smiled an amazing smile every time he told that story, even in those last few days when it got real bad for him.
He may have made some shitty movies recently but he is a great guy, probably one of the better ones in Hollywood. I doubt 99% of the actors out there would have done this in a fancy restaurant just to make a kid feel comfortable.

Yeah. We mock him, but it's well-known that he's great guy. I've never heard or read anything bad about him.

Yeah I've heard the same. We get on him for his crap films, but I don't personally dislike him. It's not like he's Taylor Swift or something, yuck.

Really wish he would do more dramatic films. The few that he's done have been good IMO and show his acting ability. Give him something along the lines of Steve Carrell in Foxcatcher, and he'll blow it away

Well, he has but unfortunately his fans want him to fart and pee for his acting as opposed to... actually acting. "Punch-Drunk Love" is easily the best work he's done, but how many casual moviegoers liked it or him in it? Not many. They liked "50 First Dates" better, that's their idea of him in a romantic situation. And I don't blame Sandler for his bad movies, I blame the American public, which is what I say for Michael Bay's films as well. They complain that his movies suck, yet when Sandler does something of substance they don't want it and wonder where the toilet humor went. The majority of people in our country are very unintelligent, that's pretty much fact and keeps us smarties with good jobs and contributing to the economy. Dumb people like dumb movies, just look at the box office returns for Kevin Hart's piece of shit films. Sandler can do drama, but will it sell? Hasn't yet.

Right, but Sandler didn't fart even once in it so the movie was a total failure.
