I think Noah Baumbach can try way too hard sometimes to be quirky/thought provoking (looking at you Frances Ha). I'll check it out though when it hits Netflix.

The only Adam Sandler movie I watched that I considered unwatchable was "Grown Ups 2." Everything else has been watchable, and somewhat enjoyable.
And Fuller House sucks!

I don't think anyone doubts he's a talented guy capable of doing really good work. He just chooses not to most of the time. The main reason I can't bring myself to watch even the movies he's reportedly great in is because I just wind up being utterly disgusted with him to the point that I can't even enjoy the good ones. I instead find myself angry at him for being a lazy prick who can't be bothered to bring his A-Game 95% of the time. |
