Maybe some wires got crossed in the rumor mill, and it's really the Fantastic Four franchise that's not allowed to have any humor in their films rather than the DC Cinematic Universe.

That mural looks so incredibly cheap! Most of the fake posters I've seen online are far superior to that mess. None of those characters have the same light source, and Sue's head has obviously been photoshoped in. Someone needs to be fired.
