I'm not sure how to feel. On the one hand, that looks way better than I expected. And honestly, I'm kind of okay with the characters not being carbon copies of who/what they are in the comics so kudos to Trank and his creative team for at least the contents of the trailer.
On the other hand, there have been so many reports about all these problems regarding the movie, and I'm sure a studio could cut a good trailer regardless of the quality of the whole film. Hard to just ignore everything that has been said up to this point.
But I'll admit that this did make me more interested in the film than I have been, so I guess they achieved their goal.

Agreed. Two of the guys from Game of Thrones, Richard Madden and Kit Harrington, were up for the role as Reed too. They both would have been better.
The best Reed choice is Jon Hamm obviously, but he wouldn't fit in with the rest of this cast.

This looks great. I'm excited to see how they will connect the x-men universe.
Also apparently they go to a different universe and get there powers. I hope they don't pussy out with showing that.

I get a weird vibe off this trailer. The shots used look great, but something just feels off. I can't help but wonder if this is another case of a trailer which bears little or no resemblance to the actual tone of the movie it's meant to represent. If this truly does represent what the FF movie is going to be like, they've pretty much completely tossed out the source material. The FF is generally a fairly lighthearted comic. Sure, there are the occasional storylines which are very serious, but they are the exception.

they've pretty much completely tossed out the source material. That's more or less already been confirmed, considering the director told the actors that there was no point in reading the source material. |

This trailer...actually wasn't bad. Sure, it looks totally different from the normal FF tone, but we've been hearing about that for a while now. It seems maybe a bit too Nolan-ish, but I don't know, I'll wait and see; I'm at least not turned off by it.
