Looks like Netflix is releasing All Quiet on the Western Front on 4K/Blu-ray through MPI. www.amazon.com/All-Quiet-on-the-Western-Front-4K-Blu-ray/dp/B0BWSNHMD9I think the only other thing I've seen them release closer to chest are the first two seasons of Stranger Things. Otherwise Criterion normally gets their notable stuff. And Paramount released The Cloverfield Paradox, but that was a Paramount production anyway. Odd release, but welcome.

Waiting to see what the bonus features on that are. They had better at least have the making of that's streaming on Netflix. Also that price better drop.

Okay, I'm kicking myself a little bit now. I've been holding off on getting the Better Call Saul seasons on Blu Ray till they were all out. And now that they are, I figured I'd start scooping them up. Well, turns out that Seasons 2 and 3 are out of print... I found a Canadian copy of Season 3 on Amazon (one of those that has the French-Canadian writing on the covers as well as English), priced at $27.84. But Season 2...nearly every copy of that I see on eBay is ridiculously overpriced and a copy from a different country. Goddamn it.

I haven't seen it yet, but any time someone like this is releasing physically, that is good

Hopefully. I hope it's not A24 doing it directly though, would rather not have one of their over-size boxes for this one.

Sometimes, yeah... For instance, I can have a habit of being too eager to buy something as opposed to waiting a bit for the price to drop. But I still think I'm pretty good at buying movies and shows at decent/good prices.

Do you guys ever worry your overspending? Not very often, no. I acquired the vast majority of my library on the cheap. I'd say about 70% of it cost $2 each. Clearance sales are our friends, folks. All kinds of crazy stuff winds up being clearanced out.

Do you guys ever worry your overspending? In some ways I actually worry that I'm underspending. That I waste too much time holding out for deals and being cheap when I'd be happier just buying things right away instead of dithering.

In that case, then, maybe I'm normal, since I opt to buy most movies pretty quick if they're new releases.
TV seasons, though, I've come to wait a bit on. Sometimes that can come back to bite me, though. Since my Better Call Saul post earlier in the week, I've actually gotten my hands on Seasons 1-4 individually, with Season 5 ordered from eBay. Season 6, I'll get after I get my incoming paycheck this Friday.

Do you guys ever worry your overspending? After what happened with HBO Max, we’re probably not spending enough. Or we should join the high seas with frankyt.

I would say that prompt purchases are mainly needed when a particular movie/series is relatively obscure. These are often limited releases that go out of print, and then fail to find another distributor.

Anybody else do any Prime Day purchases? I sprung for the Complete Series sets of both Supernatural and The Sopranos.

Mandalorian coming to 4K. Own it in case the Mouse decides to scrub Doomsday’s masterpiece off the Internet.

That's a pretty huge, impressive set. I wonder what the price tag is?
But.... movies dont have their own cases. Trash!
