Lionsgate is probably one of the more physical loyal studios out there, especially with their aggressive 4K catalog. It wouldn't surprise me if we get a 4K disc down the road.

How many docs does everyone have in their collection? That really depends on how far you're willing to stretch the meaning of documentary. Do bonus feature documentaries count? While some, such as the ones that usually accompany MCU movies are little more than commercials disguised as documentaries, others, like the ones on Edgar Wright films are in-depth examinations of the film making process. |

Not including bonus features, about twenty. And half of those are from a Werner Herzog boxed set and a Dziga Vertov boxed set, also some of the remaining ten are concert films.

Most documentaries I own are about film subjects that catch my interest. I have docs on franchises from Friday the 13th and Halloween and I have the Won't You Be My Neighbor documentary.
My crown jewel is an eight hour documentary on the Three Stooges made by Moe Howard's son called Hey Moe, Hey Dad. Had some good stuff in it that I had never heard before.

I picked up the CLZ app that Red Letter Media mentioned in one of their recent videos. It's an app for cataloging film libraries by scanning the bar codes. I just finished going through my library, and it's given me a total of 3041 movies.

I've been doing a bit of checking, and it looks like I may have to make some manual changes to the list. The app doesn't seem to know what to make of my MST3K box sets. Makes sense, I suppose. I don't know of any other TV series that is also a feature film in every episode. |
