Have we ever given numbers? I'm at 219 I haven't counted mine in a few years, and my memory is terrible. It wasn't quite at two thousand, but it was close. I suspect I've passed that point by now.

616, not counting TV seasons. Next question. You are making a top 600 list from the movies in your collection. Which 16 don't make it?

I've only started beefing up my digital collection in the past year or so. How are your physical media vs. your digital collections numbers wise? Including boxed sets, double dips, and movies that are bonus features on other movies... I'm at about 1030 movies on physical media. My digital collection is... zero. You are making a top 1000 list from your collection. Which 30 don't make it?

That was a quick response. Well done. I have star ratings for my whole collection in a spreadsheet, just needed to do a sort and prune a couple.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (since it's now a duplicate disc after it came with the Complete Animated Series set I recently got)
Batman Returns
Bohemian Rhapsody The Commuter Elf
Hitchcock The Internship Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit
Knight and Day Live by Night
Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children
Non-Stop Power Rangers (2017) Roman J. Israel, Esq.
At least 5 of those I'm already looking to purge from my collection anyway. The rest, while I like them, would just be a matter of, "Well, I just like all the other movies more

So, for the first halves of 2017 and 2018, before I got my current full-time job, I used to work a part-time job scoring state-issued school tests from around the country and for those two years, our office moved into a renovated shop space in a mall that used to be an Old Navy. Anyway, on most of our breaks and in the last half of lunch breaks, I would go to the FYE that was there at the time (which closed around early April 2018) and browse. So there are quite a few random titles in my collection that were purchased for cheap from FYE in a "Oh, what the hell?" kind of mindset.
Roman J. Israel was actually my last purchase from that FYE.

Ignore Batman Returns for a second. Would you really want two copies of the same movie? I have all of B:TAS on Blu-Ray and DVD and I am not getting rid of those DVDs.

You had F.Y.E. in 2018? Whaaat???!!! I lost F.Y.E. and Spec Music in 2011. Pour one out. But I get what you mean. Those Wal-Mart bins have gems in there if you bother to look. And also Big Lots. If you’re a true collector — and you’re a cheap bastard, Big Lots is the place to be.

Cause there's another, more popular mall where everybody loves to go that had a two-story FYE...but that one also closed in the early 2010's. Meanwhile, the regular-ass FYE at the mall barely anyone went to anymore (and just closed for good due to Covid) survived till 20-friggin'-18. Go figure.

Small(er) businesses get bullied out of high-volume locations so landlords can bring in higher-paying tenants. But if you’re in a shit hole, they’re just happy you there. The K-Mart in the hood I grew up in, somehow lasted till Covid finally killed it. And Payless Shoes stuck around till the bitter end. Sears is hanging on too. These businesses on life-support can survive in any low-rent area.

Eddie Murphy: In lieu of a wrap gift, everyone on the Coming to America 2 production gets 30 copies of The Greatest Show on Earth on blu-ray. I'd better not see these on eBay heeeeeeheeeeeeeheeeeeeeee.
