I got to see Ninja Turtles at the theater again back in November. I know. And I’m still resentful.

SnoBorderZero & PhantomKnight weren’t alive for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Literally. Sno was born in June and MovieBuff in August. So if they wanna call themselves “90’s kids” they need to watch this movie. I may not have been around for its theatrical run, but bruh...that was one of the VHS's I watched damn-near religiously in the 90's. The sad part is, though, somehow I lost/misplaced that VHS (I always suspected I left it by accident at someone's house). But I couldn't get enough of that movie.

Dracula didn’t even watch Batman ‘89 till like 2005, so you have more Millennial cred than he does.

I've been watching Batman & Robin on repeat since 1997. Dracula watched Batman & Robin before he discovered Batman ‘89 existed. Check. Mate.

Gonna forgo the obvious choice of Goodfellas and pick Back to the Future Part III.

Gonna forgo the obvious choice of Goodfellas and pick Back to the Future Part III. I’ve always loved all three BTTF’s, but people kinda disliked that one at the time. It’s always been the least popular of the three. There’s really no benefit to watching it in a theatre. People just shrugged it off. Die Hard 2 and Predator 2 were shrugged off as well. Dick Tracy too. If you’re looking for crowd pleasers, honestly, Ninja Turtles is the one. We all loved that movie. Even Doomsday. And he hates everything. Total Recall. Home Alone. Those are honestly your choices. But if you’re looking for “adult” crowd pleasers, Ghost and Misery are the go-to choices. Dances with Wolves is also a crowd pleaser but not in a rowdy theatre sorta way.

The three Back to the Futures are collectively my favorite movie ever, but if it were any of them except the third...
I mean, Tremors is right fucking there!

Tremors is right fucking there!Tremors didn't get popular until it was played on TV though A movie doesn’t need to sellout to have a good crowd, but Tremors was a January movie. You might be the only one in the auditorium. Gremlins 2 is the better choice. Or Troll 2, just to see who else showed up to watch it. I’d break it down like this. Great teenage crowd: House Party Reliving your youth: Ninja Turtles Wanna get laid? Pretty Woman or Edward Scissorhands Great General Crowd: Total Recall Great Adult Crowd: Ghost or Misery Great Family Crowd: Home Alone Great Cult Crowd: Gremlins 2 or Darkman Great Indie Crowd: Miller’s Crossing Wild Card: Jacob’s Ladder

I saw Home Alone on the big screen back in November 2018, so if I had to have some alternates...Ninja Turtles, Goodfellas, and Misery.

Bridge on the River Kwai would seem like an obvious choice but I'm not sure how much of an audience reaction it would get. Maybe Throne of Blood just to watch the excitement during the finale or Witness for the Prosecution to see the reaction to the twist. Maybe watch Jailhouse Rock to see how it affects the repressed 50s females in the audience.

Oh man, what a great movie year. The Seventh Seal might be interesting. An audience realizing in real-time of how brilliant a director this Bergman guy was. That movie also has a lot of humour and I'm very curious how that would play for a large crowd seeing it for the first time.

I'm torn between Curse of Frankenstein and The Incredible Shrinking Man.
With 20,000 Miles to Earth in a distant, but respectable, third.

If the premiere to Bride of the Monster was as nuts as the Ed Wood movie portrayed, I'd rather go to that premiere.
