I posted this on Facebook years and years ago around when the episode dropped. It was one of the first times someone chewed me out for being offensive. Ahh those were the good old days.

DraculaYou're flying through these seasons too fast for me. Is it tomorrow when The Office leaves Netflix and heads over to Peacock? I don't know what the availability is going to be like when it makes the jump, if it'll be free with ads or if you need to actually pay a subscription fee to watch them but I'm sure as shit not paying for yet another streaming service. All the Zoomers are pissed off about the Office moving to Peacock because, God forbid, you have to watch ads on the free-tier version of Peacock.

If the zoomers don't want to watch ads or pay for peacock there are other viable alternatives. The bigger question is why NBCUniversal/Comcast seems to think reruns of a decade old network sitcom everyone's already seen is what they should be putting all their chips on as far as attracting people to their fourth tier streaming service. At least CBS gave people a new Star Trek show in order to get them to pay for their shitty streaming service, these idiots think they can just straight recycle their way to subscribers.

I am a big fan of the bluray set. Each season in its own case, all looking uniform. The extended episodes are still considered one episode and not artificially broken up into two parts. Good stuff. They even let you skip through the stupid FBI warnings

Any Comcast Cable or Xfinity Internet subscriber gets Peacock Premium for free. So they’re just really transitioning people to the service. I give cable 5 or 10 more years. Comcast has Peacock. AT&T has HBO Max. They can just phase out cable and satellite and bundle those services together. And for people that want that cable/satellite TV experience, there’s Pluto TV. Really, there’s no reason for cable/satellite to exist other than the fact that Internet connections aren’t quite as reliable — or at the very least — these streaming services can’t always handle the traffic. But they can figure that out in the next 5 or 10 years. I mean, shit, remember 10 years ago when you needed to run a disc on your video game console just to get Netflix? We’ve come along way.

I remember the very first round of Netflix streaming where you had to watch everything on a laptop and there was a strict bandwidth limit on how much you could watch a month. Seemed like quite the dumb little novelty add-on to their DVD service at the time.

Seemed like quite the dumb little novelty add-on to their DVD service at the time. I remember that, but never bothered with it. My DSL Internet was terrible in the 2000’s. Almost made me miss Dial-Up. Almost. I was actually a big fan of Comcast’s On-Demand service. For starters, it forced me to get their Cable Internet, which turned out to be the best Internet I had since 1990’s Dial-Up. And their On-Demand options were second to none. You could literally watch anything on it, as long as you were subscribed to the channel. I remember thinking, “this is the future of television” but then we all took a detour with Netflix. I say detour because I still believe we’ll end with an On-Demand type of TV experience. People aren’t gonna subscribe to all these streaming services. Sooner or later someone is gonna bundle up all these services. Comcast and AT&T control the Internet. There’s just no way around that. 5 years from now they’ll say, “sign up for our Internet and we'll give you HBO Max and Peacock for FREE. Plus we’ll throw in Disney+ and CBS All Access just to shut you up.” It’s just On-Demand but with extra steps.

Ian isn’t a fan of the Willy Wonka episode.

I'll have to think of a definitive top 5 episodes for Doomsday but the Wonka episode and Scott's Tots have gotta be up there.
