Can't wait for the Lakers to implode in a few years.
Gonna be miserable until then.

Can't wait for the Lakers to implode in a few years. Gonna be miserable until then. LeBron extended his contract until the 2022-23 season (his 20th in the league) and now AD will be around until 2024-25. Lakers will be contenders for a while, which is kinda the norm. In the last 40 years, the Lakers only really sucked in the mid-1990's and for a good bulk of the 2010's. The question is, how do they plan to build a team around AD? LeBron is superhuman, but it is the twilight of his career, nonetheless. You gotta focus on AD as the future of the franchise and not LeBron.

Lakers will never not be the top of the list for free agents. Can sell their future every year to build around the stars and still have enough wiggle room to crush in free agency.

No surprise that LeBron and AD resigned. I already miss the days of the Lakers sucking. Short lived, but amazing.

Yeah they really blew it. They had a good core to potentially beat Miami, but there was also no way Playoff P was beating Miami LeBron.

James Harden is annoying as hell. He's coming close to topping Kyrie Irving as my least liked star in the league.

Good. Team loyalty, especially in a smaller market, can be a sad rarity these days. Glad he's just leaving for the Warriors or some stupid shit.

Saw this today and I think it's just disgusting and should serve as a cautionary tale of what happens when a franchise is run by a player and not the organization. Yes, stars get their way and get special treatment, but this is just ridiculous. He's making the team stay extra days so he can party? James Harden is a selfish, entitled player that has driven away fellow stars like Howard, Paul, and Westbrook and now it's so clear that it was his fault and not theirs for why those relationships failed.
Great player, no doubt, but this is just a case of Harden being a brat. Houston has been a great franchise and great to Harden. These are the kind of stories that will not help Harden's image, which has already been flailing.

Harden is such an asshole. NBA fans already didn't like him before all this, and now they're really going to dislike him.
The ironic thing is, what top team would he even fit with? He and Jimmy Butler would butt heads for sure in Miami, and Pat Riley wouldn't put up with his "I'm staying in Vegas for the weekend" shit. 76ers are already a fragile team leadership wise and Harden would only exacerbate that problem. Brooklyn? I guess, but Durant would have to keep him and Kyrie in check and that's a whole lot of babysitting for the NBA's two biggest divas.
The video yesterday from Skip and Shannon summed it up well too that the Rockets are going to get a big return for him, so when Harden gets traded to a team then the young core of wherever he goes as well as several draft picks will go too. So it'll be Harden, another good player, and no core and no future. He wants to take an easy way out, but are these options even better than what he has in Houston? Yes, John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins are extremely liable to be injured, but they've looked good in preseason and the rest of the roster could shape out nicely as well. It's just clear that Harden is as selfish as they come and now that he's driven talent away while depleting the Rockets' assets in the process he thinks it's their fault and wants to leave and diva his way around another organization. The guy is cancer, and coupled with that exorbitant contract I just don't see who the hell wants to mortgage their future for him.

Send him to Sacramento for draft picks. No way. If you think he's miserable in Houston, he would never get on a plane to even come to Sacramento aka Basketball Hell. Plus, we already have one overpaid diva in Buddy Hield.
