I woulda sent Draymond to the Nets. The Warriors organization didn’t step up. But... at this point... the Warriors are gonna end up better than the Nets. And they do have a future with James Wiseman. KD & Kyrie leave and the Nets are back to being shit. I disagree, I think the Nets actually have a really solid core and if Durant and Irving would play like they're capable of then Brooklyn is maybe the team to beat in the east. LaVert, Joe Harris, Dinwiddie, Jaret Allen. That's a pretty good supporting cast. Keyword is “supporting”. They’d get killed in the Playoffs against the Celtics, Sixers, Bucks and Heat. That team, unfortunately, needs KD and/or Kyrie. They shoulda traded Kyrie for Harden. But no way the Rockets take that deal now.

So how do you think the Nets handle this? We know Kyrie is a delicate little flower and will be pissed if they take action against him. But then again they can't end up like the Rockets and show favoritism and piss off the rest of the team.
I think Durant needs to step in and be like what the hell man you playing or what? But the fact that Durant has to be the adult here is...worrisome.

And good luck attracting another star player to that team.

Stephen A. Smith is calling for Kyrie to retire. He clearly doesn't have any interest in doing his job anymore and if I'm the Nets I'm looking to recoup that contract and bring someone else in. Shit, maybe they get their wish of bringing in Harden after all?
Harden proving he'll be fat at 50 but still schooling all the competition at the YMCA. "Hold my Cinnabon, I'm going in!"

But will Kyrie even show up to work? I mean, if the team is essentially just Durant and Harden with no supporting cast and no future in draft picks how far can they even go? I don't think that's worth it at all. Brooklyn made this same mistake when they went all in on acquiring Pierce and Garnett, who while much past their primes whereas Harden is very much still in his, which set their franchise back several years regrouping and compiling draft picks.

But will Kyrie even show up to work? Exactly. Kyrie is done. He should retire. No team is gonna touch him. Brooklyn, I guess, could sue him for breach of contract and save those $35M for someone else. They should try to get Bradley Beal. The Wizards are garbage and he’s wasting his prime years there. Playing with KD & Harden should be enticing. So yeah, they should try to make some three-way trades or draft pics or whatever.

Beal would be an interesting fit, and I think if you could make it work to land him AND Harden and dump Kyrie then it's worth going for broke over. Yeah, the rest of the team would be trash but a team of Beal-Harden-Durant could be enough to win it all no matter who they fill the rest of the roster out with.

Either way, Harden's gonna be traded, and sooner than later. The Nets aren't offering Kyrie from what I've seen, and I doubt Houston wants him.
It's either Nets or Sixers, both are reportedly trying to facilitate a third team.

The Miami Heat won two championships with LeBron, old ass Ray Allen and D-Wade & Bosh on their way out. The Nets won’t beat the Lakers but they can at least get to the Finals. So a repeat of 2002 & 2003.

Those Heat teams eventually did put together a strong supporting core though. Ray Allen, Mike Miller, Shane Battier, hell even Birdman. They had guys that could shoot the 3, play defense on the wings, and defend the paint. If you have two or three superstars already, that's really all you need to do to fill out the roster.
Look at the Lakers last season. I wouldn't say that supporting cast was overly exceptional, but they were balanced out enough to do the intangibles while LeBron and AD did the rest.

It's either Nets or Sixers, both are reportedly trying to facilitate a third team. Ben Simmons hasn’t really proven himself to be worth keeping. I’d trade for him. But... I can see the issue. Joel Emiid and Harden are both high-scoring shooters. Last thing that team needs is both arguing over who’s gonna take the shot. Or worse. Harden standing around while Emiid does all the work. So yeah, maybe keep Simmons. At least with the Nets, KD already played Harden and went to the Finals with him in 2012. He knows how to play with him.

Those are good points. I’ll just say that Ray Allen rescued them in 2013 and they got bitch slapped in 2014. For all the hype, that Heat team wasn’t as dominant as they’d have you believe. But yes, they had enough solid role players to make 4 straight NBA Finals.

Trump gets impeached (again) and Harden gets traded (again). What a day.
