True story: While I was typing this match up I was watching Timeless. I typed out the name "Goran Visnjic" and thought "Why does that name sound so familiar?" Clicked on him and he's Flynn in Timeless. I was like WUT THE SHIT I DIDN'T KNOW HE WAS IN THIS MOVIE. Don't you dare disrespect Dr. Luka Don't you dare disrespect Flynn. He'll time travel and destroy your ass

Yeah, LXG was actually a guilty pleasure of mine for quite a few years...until it wasn't.

THE FINAL VOTE:The League of Extraordinary GentlemenLXG is very, very dumb, but it's also an abnormally fun watch. Elektra is slightly less dumb, but it's also dull. I'd rather have a stupid good time than be bored. The ScoreThe League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: 5 Elektra: 1WINNER:DCSean Connery doesn't get it. Probably the only thing LXG won since it was released. Hooray for gimped competitors! DC: 7 Marvel: 9 Draw: 1ROUND 18!
IN THIS CORNERSuperheroes: Halle Berry as Patience Phillips/Catwoman Supervillains: Sharon Stone as Laurel Hedare Civilians: Benjamin Bratt as Detective Tom Lone, Lambert Wilson as George Hedare, Alex Borstein as Sally, Francis Conroy as Ophelia Powers Run Time: 1 Hour 44 Minutes Director: Pitof Writer: John Brancato & Michael Ferris (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Terminator: Salvation), John Rogers (The Core) Music: Klaus Badelt (Gladiator, The Thin Red Line, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl) Cinematography: Thierry Arbogast (Leon: The Professional, The Fifth Element, Wing Commander) Tomatometer: 9% IMDB: 3.4 Razzies Won: Worst Picture, Worst Actress - Halle Berry, Worst Director, Worst Screenplay Razzies Nominated: Worst Supporting Actor - Lambert Wilson, Worst Supporting Actress - Sharon Stone, Worst Screen Couple - Halle Berry and either Benjamin Bratt or Sharon Stone Story: When cosmetics employee Patience Phillips discovers that the latest products may have devastating consequences for customers, head of the company, Laurel Hedare, has her killed. As she lies dead, she is revived by a group of majestic cats. Resurrected, Patience begins acting less introverted and begins to develop superhuman abilities. She then develops an anti-hero persona of Catwoman, who will stop the bad guy but also take what she damn well pleases. Pros: Proved Halle Berry in leather wasn't the reason X-Men succeeded. Cons: This movie's bullshit probably set a Wonder Woman movie back at least a decade. AND IN THIS CORNERSuperheroes: Conan Stephens as the Man-Thing Supervillains: Jack Thompson as Fredrick Schist Civilians: Matthew Le Nevez as Sheriff Kyle Williams, Rachael Taylor as Teri Elizabeth Richards, Rawiri Paratene as Peter Horn Run Time: 1 Hour 37 Minutes Director: Brett Leonard (Critters, The Lawnmower Man, Highlander: The Source) Writer: Hans Rodionoff Music: Roger Mason Cinematographer: Steve Arnold Tomatometer: 17% IMDB: 4 Story: The new sheriff in a small Southern town, Kyle Williams, inherits a load of problems when locals continually go missing in the swamp. He begins to untangle a web of conspiracy involving oil tycoon Fredrick Schist. But there may be more to the story, involving a legend of a guardian spirit of the swamp. Pros: That Man-Thing costume is pretty fucking sweet. Cons: The fact that this movie sat on a shelf for years before finally being dumped on the Sci-Fi Channel should give you an indicator of how good it is. FIGHT!

That basketball scene is the reason SnoBorderZero loves 2000’s superhero movies.

Both of these are so terrible that they annihilate one another with their awfulness. The titular Catwoman isn't Selina Kyle, the story doesn't take place in Gotham, and unlike the real Catwoman, this one exhibits instinctual feline behavior. As far as I'm concerned, it's not a real DC movie. Man-Thing isn't supposed to be a generic monster that murders everyone. I don't think it really belongs on this list either. While I know that the Wikipedia page indicates that it was originally intended for a US theatrical release, this isn't strictly speaking true. I followed the production of this abomination during the days of CountingDown.com. It was made to be a direct to video movie, and during it's production a producer was so impressed with how the film was turning out (because this person was a moron) that he decided it deserved a theatrical release. As a result, it was announced that they would try and find a theatrical distributor. Once production was finally done however, it was very clear to the distributors that this movie was a POS. In the end, Man-Thing wound up as a TV movie on Sci-Fi Channel.
I decline to vote for either one of these cinematic abortions.

To avoid further confusion, here is the tournament rule book: Rule 1: There are no rules. Rule 2: You do not talk about Fight Club. Rule 3: All participants must comply to mandatory strip searches at all times. Rule 4: The Douche v. Turd Penalty. This penalizes those who dislike films in round, make a public spectacle about it, and don't even contribute a vote. In this instance, post is deemed unhelpful and big boy decision is made for said poster in its place. Voting side is determined by tournament holder based on which recipient he thinks is funnier or more obnoxious. Example I: Poster doesn't post a vote. This means poster has declined to participate or was unable to. Poster will not be penalized. Example II: "I haven't seen one of these movies, though the one I saw was complete shit." Opinion is not complete, therefore cannot vote. Poster will not be penalized. Example III: "Both these movies are shit and I will not contribute a vote in this farce of a tournament." The ref will blow his whistle and issue a penalty. What if these penalties decide the fate of a round? Thus far the only winning match with a penalty vote that won its round is League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which was winning by a landslide anyway. This is a nonsense rule in a nonsense tournament on a ghost board to a long deleted message board from the '00s, so I don't really give a shit. But in the unlikely event that these penalty votes affect an outcome negatively, they will be stricken from the score. Rule 5: All winners get ice cream. Rule 6: Doomsday does not get ice cream.
