Guardians of the Galaxy? Captain America 2? X-men? Uhh... I wouldn't consider those terrible by any in-fact I would put those 3 way above Interstellar. "Way above Interstellar?" You gave Interstellar a 9/10. What did you give X-Men, a 13? Should we find out? |

All 3 of them a good yeh (guardians wasn't all that imo)but there has been some right shitty films this year Robocop, Transformers, TNMT, amazing Spider-Man 2, divergent,Noah, Need for Speed and transcendence were all terrible. Godzilla was a massive disappointment as was the lego movie and Lucy imo anyway There has been more bad films than good |

Would Interstellar work without the IMAX? Time will tell. I saw it last night non-IMAX and it was still very impressive visually, nothing lost there. |

There has been more bad films than good There is always more bad ones than good ones. It just the bad one get forgotten over time. This year has a fairly consistent batch of well reviewed movies coming out month to month. |

I don't think Interstellar on BR/DVD will be a problem. Not for me anyway. It doesn't need IMAX to be good. t loved the visuals, but it was the storytelling and conceptual work that was more interesting (the time travel stuff, the worm hole, etc.).

Exactly, it won't lose anything transferring to the small screen. The visuals complimented the ideas, not made them.

I will be buying on Blu. I hope it gets a really nice steelbook. I imagine it will. The Dark Knight, Inception and The Dark Knight Rises all got steelbooks; why not this one? |

Well Peter Travers placed it in his top 10, so those of us that did like it aren't alone and aren't crazy. Well, some of us are those things, but not because we liked "Interstellar".

Metacritic users named Interstellar the most overrated movie of 2014. I could have told you that a year ago. I'm so sick of the word "overrated". Me too. All it means is "I'm better than the majority."
But it is fun to use it, sometimes.
