109 Repairs This episode was full of extreme highs and extreme lows. For one thing, Fitz's planted joke with the mop and the mask was hilarious. His blood-curdling scream along with everybody else (except for Ward) jumping was great. But everybody was getting smacked around with a plumber's wrench and just continuing to walk around. That's the kind of blow that could potentially kill you, or at least do some heavy damage. Ward was struck with it 2-3 times and just shrugged it off, same as May. I realize it's a lame thing to complain about, but it bothered me. I also thought the general premise for the episode was a little over the top for this show. It should remain a little more grounded to reality. Good tag though, and the episode was funny.
Season One Rankings: 1. FZZT (106) 2. Eye Spy (104) 3. Pilot (101) 4. The Well 5. Repairs (109) 6. The Hub (107) 7. 0-8-4 (102) 8. The Asset (103) 9. Girl in the Flower Dress (105)

110 The Bridge More talk of the Clairvoyant, more Mike Peterson, Lola, a good fight scene, more super soldiers, etc. I had kind of a dreadful feeling about Mike throughout the entire episode, seemed a little obvious. I liked the switch with Coulson as I'd like to learn more about Centipede (Hydra?). It was interesting, when Mike had his hand around Raina's throat I sort of thought that was to get the scent on her so SHIELD could track Coulson through her. And then Mike ran back and I assumed he would tell them that, but that obviously didn't happen. I suspect he survived and we'll see him again though. Good episode.
Season One Rankings: 1. FZZT (106) 2. Eye Spy (104) 3. Pilot (101) 4. The Bridge (110) 5. The Well 6. Repairs (109) 7. The Hub (107) 8. 0-8-4 (102) 9. The Asset (103) 10. Girl in the Flower Dress (105)

111 The Magical Place Well that was a little horrifying, but also illuminating... to a point. I feel like there is still a lot they're not telling us about Coulson, but it was good they started to peel back the mystery a bit. Very good episode, best of the series up to this point. Very good acting from Clark Gregg as well. Good to see Mike Peterson survived, even though it wasn't really a surprise. Curious to see what they do with him from here on out. I'm officially at the halfway point of the season now, and I've heard it only gets better from here.

Ok so the last episode was umm....graphic. I'm a teensy bit horrified at how far they went with that scene. I won't say more for spoilers sake but...wow. Whitehall needs to die - like a lot. Also, not down with the Hunter/Morse action. Honestly, I find Hunter so whiny. Mockingbird is my favourite character, give her a man worthy of her time or not at all. Ugh. Actually can the show just not have ANY romance at all? Seriously, all the Ward/Skye stuff is making me sick enough as it is. Great ep though

Ya that montage made me cringe. It was a little excessive. Definitely want Whitehall to blow up in the middle of nuke or something.

Should I be worried that the scene in question DIDN'T make me cringe? I mean, I've seen worse on other shows and movies.

Honestly, the reason it made me cringe is because it was thrown in so blasé as though it wasn't worth cringing over. Or at least as though it was on the same standard of tv gore we're used to these days and it wasn't for me. Part of what made me cringe was also the stuff that was implied rather than shown (ex. what exactly he did with those organs, was she alive while he started this? was she under anaesthesia?) It also takes me back to a comment Whitehall made to Raina: "I once operated on a woman(?) for a week straight" and I'm just praying that this wasn't what he was referring to.
My point is: yikes.

It's surprising that the Inhumans are being introduced in Agents of Shield rather than the Inhumans movie, but it does work as an effective way to make the TV show more relevant to the MCU. They've spent the first half of this season skirting around the edges of the Inhumans, but it looks like the second half with be delving deep now that Skye has been exposed to the mist.
I'm sad to see Trip go, but we got a hint that he may be replaced by Dugan. It will be interesting to see if he's still young like in the comics, and if so how they explain it.

I am completely surprised that no one on Youtube has compiled a montage of all the times someone has said, "Copy that" They must say it 3 or 4 times a show now

Hold out until the Winter Soldier storyline ties in. If you still hate it let it go. It took me til then to get into the show.

Yeah I've taken an extended leave from the show, I got through the first 11 before throwing in the towel... at least for now. I'm still going to try to catch up.

They've had two team-up episodes, Ra's al Ghul made his debut and the Reverse Flash did as well. I'm sure "The Voice" is over by now. You have no excuses.

I'm determined to at least finish Season 1 and all of Agent Carter before Daredevil comes out in April. Two episodes tonight, at least, here we go.

As always I was sort of writing as I was watching.
112 Seeds Ah yeah, I forgot that I think I've actually seen a good amount of this episode already. Oh well, I'll watch it again. I know I didn't finish it.
I feel like the rivalry between operations and science feels kind of forced, but I guess it doesn't really matter. This Donnie kid is a real weirdo. They sort of explain Skye's backstory but obviously there's more to tell.
Alright, good synopsis John. That does it for that episode.
113. T.R.A.C.K.S. Cool intro, always love a good train heist. Wait, so the grenade made the train vanish into thin air? That's a fancy grenade.
Funny watching Coulson and Ward struggle with the holotable. I'm remembering why I really liked this show at first.
Skye lost way too much blood to still be amongst the living, Jesus. She was in a pool of it at one point. Good episode though, I think I'm back into it now. Curious to see where the show goes from here.
Season One Rankings: 1. The Magical Place (111) 2. FZZT (106) 3. T.R.A.C.K.S. (113) 4. Eye Spy (104) 5. Pilot (101) 6. The Bridge (110) 7. The Well 8. Repairs (109) 9. The Hub (107) 10. 0-8-4 (102) 11. Seeds (112) 12. The Asset (103) 13. Girl in the Flower Dress (105)

114. T.A.H.I.T.I.Hot damn, I forgot that Bill Paxton was in this show. That's awesome. Pretty solid plan by the Clairvoyant, I'm not sure why he specifically doesn't know what happened to Coulson... goes back to my thought that the Clairvoyant must work for SHIELD, and he must not be a Level 10 (which as far as I can tell up to now is essentially just Nick Fury, and Alexander Pierce). Interesting. Of course, now I naturally think Paxton is the Clairvoyant. He would make a good bad guy for the rest of the season if that's the case. And if Paxton is the Clairvoyant, then that means Ward is obviously a double agent... something I've suspected since episode 4. Oh shit. Pretty awesome ending, raises a few questions. Was that alien a Kree? Is Skye somehow different because the GH.325 didn't affect her? I'm disappointing the Guest House was destroyed, that was also pretty cool. This was a great episode, best of the series so far. Season One Rankings:- T.A.H.I.T.I.

I'm pretty sure nobody is reading these since nobody else has posted in this thread in two and a half months, so I won't bother with the write-ups anymore. Both good episodes though. Season One Rankings:- T.A.H.I.T.I. (114)

Wow, I predicted everything. I knew the traitor on the team would be Ward, I knew Bill Paxton was the Clairvoyant, etc. That was pretty great. I would keep watching but my head is pounding. Season One Rankings:- Turn, Turn, Turn (117)

Another really good pair of episodes, the show is definitely firing on all cylinders now. Amy Acker as Coulson's Cellist is inspired casting, hopefully we see her again someday. It's weird that the show had to play possum for so long, they should have come up with some better stories for the first half of the season. They probably wouldn't have lost as many viewers as they did if they didn't essentially have to wait for Captain America: The Winter Soldier to be released. I wish I could just finish the season tonight. Season One Rankings:- Providence (118)

And now for my ninth post in a row... Finished the season tonight. Those last 7-8 episodes were quite a run. Really enjoyed getting into Ward's backstory, very interesting how he turned into the man he is. Great to see Fury again too. The show has really turned into one of my favorites currently airing and I'm excited to dive into Season 2... eventually. Unfortunately I don't really have a way of catching up right now. If I can't find it streaming online somewhere I'll have to wait until the Blu-ray comes out... or I'll torrent it, but I've done a lot of that lately and I'd prefer to avoid being caught for it. Anyway, great freshman season, can't wait to see more of it. Season One Rankings:- Beginning of the End (122)

Yeah I would say you've at least gotta finish the season. I don't know that I've ever seen another show become so much better midway through the season. Everything from about episode 13 and on is good, excellent from 17 and on.
