Absolutely, I definitely was skeptical since the trailers didn't show much of anything other than action. I'm so glad it's doing as well as it is review-wise.

You might be right. I've only seen the trailer like once in all the movies Ive seen in a few months. Aside from the die hard movie fans, casual fans may skip this or just miss it entirely

I'm just going to point to this movie every time I hear people whine "critics always crap on action movies, they don't know how to have fun, all they ever score highly are art-house films!" No, they just aren't giving good reviews to the shitty movie you're trying to validate, and this is a great example of that.

Maybe a little underwhelming, but it was still a good movie. I liked when you could comment on the reviews. Yeah, it sometimes leads to ravenous fanboys attacking people for negative scores towards certain franchises, but it was great to rip apart these critics when they are just way, way off. |
