Wyldstaar PhantomKnightThe pilot for Arrow and The Flash was directed by David Nutter who also directed the Smallville pilot in 2001. The Supergirl pilot was directed by Glen Winter who is also a Smallville/Arrow/Flash alumni but he doesn't have the talent for pilots like Nutter. Give the show a few episodes before you throw in the towel.

These showrunners are biting off way the hell more than they can chew by trying to run 4 22-episode TV shows all at once. All 4 of them will suffer.
Arrow season 1 and 2 were awesome, season 3 was pretty lame and incoherent, and The Flash season 1 was fun but the plot details weren't very crisp. I feel pretty strongly that Arrow season 3 suffered a lot from a lot of the staff being stretched between that show and the Flash, and they've just compounded the problem twicefold.
I wish they could take at least a few of these shows and make them be 10-episode runs, or something like that.

Hmm I thought the flash first season was great! Better then arrow season 1 and 2!!
Also I thought season 3 of arrow was much better than season 2... So I definitely think they are headed in the right direction.

Andrew Kreisberg is the showrunner on The Flash. Sarah Schechter is the showrunner on Supergirl. And Greg Berlanti is just the supervisor of the shows. He doesn't run the day-to-day business of each show. And each show has its own writing staff. The same people aren't writing all the shows. That's why it's too soon to judge Supergirl. We haven't seen what the writing staff has to offer. The writers of the pilot, Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler, aren't even the showrunners. Supergirl will take shape this summer.

I made it very clear that my criticisms only pertained to the pilot, and I even said that the show could find its groove in ensuing episodes.

I just got through watching the Supergirl pilot. Meh. It's The Flash, but with Supergirl. She works at a multimedia company instead of a CSI lab. She works with the Department of Extra-Normal Operations as her support team instead of STAR Labs. Her origin story is directly tied to all of the villains she will have to face. It seems very clear at this point that Greg Berlanti only has one idea for a superhero show, and he's just going to keep recycling it. This first became apparent when the pilot for The Flash leaked, since it's just a more lighthearted version of Arrow. So, I watched the Pilot episode yesterday, and it is - BY FAR - the weakest of the Greg Berlanti-produced DC shows yet based on just this one episode. All of my fears from the trailer were indeed confirmed. The biggest problem with it is it feels incredibly rushed, even for a 42-minute show. It's like they were trying to get her in the suit as fast as possible, thanks to Smallville, and that in turn messed with the pacing and character development/establishment. Seriously, by the end, it feels like we know next to nothing about Kara, save for the basics. On top of that, the acting and writing just seems off. It was almost like the director said, "Just try and say your lines as quickly as possible." They really need to step it up in those departments if they want to match The Flash or Arrow. Who knows, they could find their footing as they go on, but as it stands, Supergirl needs A LOT of work Yeah. It has its issues. But it's a pilot. Let's see how the show evolves.

Started watching this yesterday. Meh,it's passable, but one thing that bugged me about the pilot is that Kara's mother tells her that earth's yellow sun will give her powers.
I don't think they knew that when Krypton was blowing up.

Well, it's heartening that the one person with the dirtiest of the leaked pictures isn't losing work for it.
