After learning that the creators from Arrow, The Flash are behind this. I am having doubts about the show and not to sure i gona give it a watch. I saw on a headline today that there gona air the same time gothem season 2 starts. Even though Gothem been slipping i think it going to be better then supergirl.

She's a lot older than Clark then She has always been older than Clark Kent. In the comics and in adaptations they explain her being "younger" by putting her into cryogenics. |

Because Berlanti has built up enough good faith with Arrow and The Flash (which I think is the best superhero thing being produced right now, even counting Marvel's stuff), and the trailer still had its promising elements. Plus, it's another part of the DC TV-verse. |

This actually looks interesting. At first, I was feeling some serious reservations. The opening reminded me a great deal of the SNL trailer for a Black Widow solo movie.
So, if Superman exists in the Supergirl series, and she's part of the DC/CW Universe, that means Superman exists on those shows as well. The fact that they can't seem to mention Superman by name is a bit absurd. All of the movies and TV shows are authorized by WB. Being forced to tiptoe around things is pointless.

I just got through watching the Supergirl pilot. Meh. It's The Flash, but with Supergirl. She works at a multimedia company instead of a CSI lab. She works with the Department of Extra-Normal Operations as her support team instead of STAR Labs. Her origin story is directly tied to all of the villains she will have to face. It seems very clear at this point that Greg Berlanti only has one idea for a superhero show, and he's just going to keep recycling it. This first became apparent when the pilot for The Flash leaked, since it's just a more lighthearted version of Arrow.

So, I watched the Pilot episode yesterday, and it is - BY FAR - the weakest of the Greg Berlanti-produced DC shows yet based on just this one episode. All of my fears from the trailer were indeed confirmed. The biggest problem with it is it feels incredibly rushed, even for a 42-minute show. It's like they were trying to get her in the suit as fast as possible, thanks to Smallville, and that in turn messed with the pacing and character development/establishment. Seriously, by the end, it feels like we know next to nothing about Kara, save for the basics. On top of that, the acting and writing just seems off. It was almost like the director said, "Just try and say your lines as quickly as possible." They really need to step it up in those departments if they want to match The Flash or Arrow. Who knows, they could find their footing as they go on, but as it stands, Supergirl needs A LOT of work
