Took a glance at the theaters to see how the seats are... Wow every showing is almost sold out. Everyone's still aiming for direct center of the theater.
Was thinking oh I'll grab every seat for 15 cents and just have the theater to myself. But alas.

Yeah, if you're going to go back to a theater with a modicum of safety 15 cent day is not the day to do it.

People can complain all they want about the lockdowns and riots and looting and political turmoil. They all forget that we've been sitting on a finished, polished, ready to go Bond movie for the past 5 months which is the real tragedy.

As nice as it is to watch Bond movies in theatres, I've been doing it since GoldenEye, I wouldn't mind watching No Time To Die at home. But we got Trolls World Tour instead.

I would say No Time To Die has too high a budget to go straight to VOD, but now we're getting Mulan on PVOD, albeit with a $30 price tag. And that movie supposedly cost $200 million.
So, the question is: would you pay $30 to watch No Time To Die on PVOD? Or even Black Widow? Cause you know Disney's considering that, no matter what they say.

My dick measuring days are done. I won’t pay $30 to watch anything, I’ll wait until it’s in the $15-20 range or cheaper.

The difference is that Mulan was set up to make a killing in China, where theaters are open. I think that's what they really care about.

I'm glad theaters are opening back up but I'd rather wait until this virus tapers off more before I rush out to see something. New Mutants is the main exception though.

I just bought my first pair of movie tickets in months. The new limited menu at the Alamo no longer has my go-to item, a Royale with cheese, sadly. Almost all of the entrees are now pizzas. Having to place my food order along with my tickets is kinda weird, but adjustments must be made.

Any trepidation I initially felt regarding social distancing at the movie theater is now gone. On a Saturday afternoon at The Alamo, which is usually a packed house, I was one of less than a dozen people. I had an entire row to myself. I'm more concerned for the future of cinema than ever before.

My birthday is day after tomorrow and I have the week off work so was thinking of going to a movie. If so would be the first in about 8-9 months. The virus is almost non-existent here so part of me is screaming, "get in there and see anything!" before it all gets shut down again as Fall rolls into Winter. That being said, I just don't know if sitting that long in a theater is worth it. Strangely enough, I go to Mass on the weekend and its all physically distanced and I'm okay with that and there are no masks, so there really isn't much different in going to a theatre, I guess.

PG Cooper is still alive.
