The other shoe dropped. Black Widow postponed. To the surprise of no one.

Black Widow is a wrecking ball that will likely do just as well anywhere on the schedule up against whatever competition. The only things that might have challenged it in the vicinity would have been Wonder Woman and F9 and one of them bailed on the year.
I imagine they'll drop Widow in July.

I expect studios to be somewhat skittish about the first few weeks of releases once this is seemingly behind us. There will probably be a few sacrificial lambs released first to see if people are coming back, then they'll reschedule the tentpoles.

I'm just waiting on the announcement that Tenet is pushed back, which I'm sure is going to happen.

Releasing a Saw film in May was a stupid idea to begin with.
All the competition being scared away from it is probably the best news Lionsgate has heard about this movie.

They tried to keep that December case quiet, which is what led to this whole mess.

At least now all the visual FX houses can do their work without being rushed.

A lot of movies shut down production. But stuff like Wonder Woman and Nolan’s Tenet are deep in post-production. They’ll figure out some remote solutions.

Digital FX are all done using equipment that can be operated remotely. All one needs is to have a basic set-up at home to communicate with the servers at the office.

That's true however visual effects departments work hand in hand with editing and it's difficult to pack avids off to peoples' homes so they can cut in their living rooms. If an editing department is shut down then the production effectively comes to a halt.

AMC officially putting a pause on Stubs A-List charges, which, yeah if they didn't do that it probably would have been grounds for a class-action.

Sadly, this doesn’t apply here. Our local drive-in is closed, same as the rest of them.

The closest drive in to me wasn't going to be open until Summer in the first place. Not really sure what their plans are (I've never been).
