Wow, you loved Annihilation that much, huh? It probably wouldn't have been my number one had it come out last year or in 2016, but this year it's a pretty clear winner. Had If Beale Street Could Talk ended stronger it might have been closer. But yeah, I love Annihilation. Great example of how films can work on a literal and metaphorical level, while also just being an endlessly engrossing sci-fi movie with a lot of mystery, atmosphere, and amazing scenes. |
