I remember liking Cape Fear when I saw it 15 years ago.
Darkman is pretty cool, maybe the only reason I don't completely write off Sam Raimi.
Superman Returns is a pretty good flick and I'm glad more people have realized it after Man of Steel came out.

Cape Fear: Awesome and underrated. Not particularly deep, but stylistically awesome and well-told with a really memorable turn from Robert De Niro. A
Darkman: Haven't seen it. Looks neat.
Superman Returns: It's been a while. I think the movie looks good and is generally more thoughtful than it gets credit for being, but it's also kind of a chore to sit through. C

Cape Fear - never really was interested
Darkman - I liked it - it has its flaws but it also has a lot of flavor to it
Superman Returns - Horrible mess. Should not have been a kid, Spacey could have been a better Lex, and how the fuck did he pick up an entire island of kryptonite when he was useless when he was on top of it - Yellow sun or not - it makes no sense

Hijacking this for a brief moment as it seems to foster discussion, but am I the only one who thinks Caddyshack is a piece of shit? Considering how it's some comedy staple of the 80s it's hardly funny.

Considering how it's some comedy staple of the 80s it's hardly funny. It has a couple good moments, so I don't think I'd go so far as to call it a "piece of shit," but I'm not a fan either.

I like "Caddyshack" a lot, I think it's hilarious and well done.

"Stripes" is ok, but yeah nothing special compared to the work they'd do after.

I agree, this is a great idea.
Groundhog Day - Hilarious, human, and a film you know is good when it's repetition is the strong point. Very high 8/10
Strangers on a Train - Very thrilling Hitchcock and features a great mirror shot after the carnival sequence. A little silly when the guy is playing tennis and playing against time, but one of Hitchcock's best. Very high 8/10
Spartacus - Even when a Kubrick film isn't Kubrick it's still a spectacle. Great performances, great set pieces, and of course the forever quotable ending. Kubrick made much better films, but this demonstrated to everyone that he could handle anything. Very high 8/10

1. Batman (1989): It may go against the lore in a few places, but god damn if this isn't a well-crafted and exciting adventure film. The production design is excellent, Keaton is a great Batman, Nicholson is a great Joker, the film is loaded with awesome scenes and it all builds to an exciting finale. A
2. Diamonds are Forever: Terrible. A complete mess with a laughable villain, annoying Bond girl, and on the whole just dull. Slight credit for the elevator fight scene and the theme song, which is one of the best. D-
3. Titanic: Amazing production values clash with one dimensional characters and storylines. Also, the entire framing device is unnecessary and time consuming. B+
