I might be getting a Maine Coon Cat.
I guess the elderly owner has to give him up, so he needs a home. It's not my usual black cat, but he sounds like a nice one. I don't have to buy anything for him, all his stuff is coming with him.
His name is Sampson. And we shall see what unfolds - he's from the southern Vermont area and my brother's sister in law told him about it.
Hope he adjusts well - they told me he's very friendly and cuddly.

Aren't those the huge cats? Males weigh from 21 to 35 lb they can be 10-16 inches tall and 48 inches long. One of the largest domestic breeds. |

I need to figure out my landscaping situation. Is there something that is low maintenance, yellow (favorite color) and doesn't attract a lot of bugs that survives well in Kansas? I don't really have a green thumb so much as I have a plant murder-y thumb. My annuals that I planted last year only bloomed for about a week this year. Budget is $3,000 (I think I have to have two trees). HELP?!?

I think Sampson is more like a Norwegian Forest Cat than a Maine Coon Cat. He's adjusting nicely. Very friendly, loves attention...and steak, but he doesn't like cheese or lime Tostitos  He found a nicer place to take a nap  |

So not sure how much I can say because I signed a disclaimer but with the help of a friend I landed a job as a Production Assistant on the Universal Studios lot. I'm working on a major release for summer 2016 directed by a very notable director, I'll tell you which one as we get closer. Yeah it's only a PA job which is entry-level in the entertainment industry but hey I'm more than happy to work my way up in doing something in the industry that I always dreamed of getting into. For every grocery store or lunch run I've done I've been able to do some pretty cool stuff going over footage or sitting in on meetings. In the two weeks I've been here I've learned a ton and am really excited to see where this goes. It's also pretty cool to work at Universal and drive by all the sound stages every day. I'll keep you updated as things go along.
