In John news, I'm up for a promotion that would get me out of the office. I'd work from home and travel approximately 30% of the time (but start and end most days at home), get about a 15% raise and a generous car stipend. I'm quite pleased with it, hopefully I land it.

Has anyone ever tried to see the Northern Lights? There are tours in Alaska that will take you to the best possible location for viewing. I'm only a little concerned about the possibility of bad weather.
