Board games are the reason I can't stand chthulu. For some damned reason I cannot understand, the board game industry is absolutely inundated with games about it. I am so sick of seeing that ugly green creature on so many boxes. It saps the hobby of originality and I can't even imagine how many people it turns off of the hubby, at a time when we are really trying to break as much into mainstream culture as possible. A theme like chthulu is really a step backwards. Zombies as well... Even more of a reason to read the books. Seriously. Lovecraft's character is considered a classic for many reasons, none of which are the cause of a board game. Plus, they (the companies) are only catering to demand. Blame the fans of the hobby.

Lol I couldn't resist and my beard wasn't really keeping my face warm this winter, so I ordered a Cthulhu Balaclava I'll take pics when I get it (I hope it fits over my fat head)

Cthulhu-Ramplate is going to be sneaking up on people in the dark, damp, Vermont woods this Xmas season.

I can't wait to be sleeping in my own bed again. These mattress have unforgiving springs. It'll be nice to get at least 6 full hours of sleep again.

I got a redbox this weekend, watched some and turned it off because I just couldn't stand it. I can't remember the last time I rented a movie and turned it off. This one was Jersey Boys. I'm a big Clint Eastwood fan but someone dropped the ball here at some point. Just a dull, boring, dull, dull snoozefest where nothing happened. I made up for it by treating myself to Guardians of the Galaxy.

Yeah I probably should watch out as to where I wear a balaclava these days - although I doubt anyone will think I'm a terrorist with a mouth full of tentacles (In before someone says. "He said mouth full of testicles" I know you have dirty minds)

Skis are a good idea. You could be like a Bond villain. That's not a problem. I don't think I've ever seen a terrorist on T.V. who happened to be a fan of the Cthulhu mythos.
In other news, my lessons in Greek (Rosetta Stone is enormously helpful) are coming along swimmingly. Whoever coined the phrase,"That's Greek to me", was not wrong. It is not easy, though that is no surprise.

I've often wondered how those are but I look at the price and think "Do I really need to learn Mandarin that badly?"

Starting to feel some of the holiday season emotional drag that can happen. Some of it from my discussions with clients. There is so much loneliness out there, the holidays can be such a difficult time for people to get through. My case load is starting to stack up.

I've been okay with celebrating Christmas by myself for awhile, but I know not everybody likes that. We got a lot of individuals out and about making sure everybody is okay out here.

I hate the way a lot of my family made such a big deal about starting a baby registry, and none of them actually want to buy anything off of it.
