Saw John Williams conduct his film scores with the Boston Pops tonight. My first time ever seeing him live. Hope he's still doing it next year. Encore not seen here, but Phoebe Waller Bridge's theme from Indy 5, E.T., and Imperial March.  |

Saw John Williams conduct his film scores with the Boston Pops tonight. My first time ever seeing him live. Hope he's still doing it next year. There's a concert every year at the Hollywood Bowl where they perform John Williams scores and he usually shows up to conduct a few pieces, they just did it a couple weeks ago actually. I've lived here for years and I've never seen it, I always want to but every weekend it happens I'm always up to something. I know there probably aren't too many more opportunities left so I'm just going to buy tickets next time I see it happening. I'm sure it was a great time. |

Watchmen is low key one of the best comic book movies ever made.
For such a complicated and long story Snyder really knocked it out the park. Dances across the tones of drama action mystery and humor so deftly.
Has there ever been such a bi polar film maker than Snyder?

Vet day today. Gathering both cats into carriers is always interesting. In their older ages they are certainly becoming more amenable. The one gets so stressed he shits in the carrier every time. Almost made it completely home before he started this time.
But slowly close all doors to lock them into the main room with nowhere to hide, toss the dog in a room on his own, slowly wait until they don't even realize it and then pounce. I don't hunt but I have to imagine it's a similar electric feeling in the air.
No scratches but plenty of hisses this time around. Clean bills of health, updated vaccines - and everyone's hiding in the basement livid at me.

It's been a while since I've had a cat, I quite enjoy them. I'll probably get one when I upgrade lodging at some point. Only thing better than one cat? Two cats baby. I'd actually never get a solo cat again I don't think. They really bond so strongly and keep themselves company (we don't board the kitties - would be more stressful than just leaving them home with grub) and there's so damn many of em. Just grab a pair. Highly recommend it. |

I think they will completely take over western pa within the next year, should be spreading into both Virginia's Ohio and Kentucky my guess... Prob 2025. They only move 4 miles their whole lives, but they are legion and if they get moved by our transportation system it'll be much faster.
Wars over they're kinda cool looking with their red eyes staring up as you bring your foot down on them. If you're having a bad day though and just wanna smash some shit killing these bugs is kinda satisfying - until you break like 30 then the crushing realization of your insignificance comes right to the front of your mind.
