Raffi still touring? Baby Beluga rips Fuck yeah he’s still touring. He performed about an hour away from me pre-Covid, if the kid was any older at the time I would have absolutely taken her.

Was just thinking about how in flux the whole super hero genre is right now. Marvel juggling and tweaking whatever new phase they are starting into, the whole Johnathan Powers legal controversy potentially recasting Kang. DCEU falling onto Gunn's hands and new Supes and Lous casting. The slow death of the past DC films driven by Snyder, culminating with the latest Flash flop. Black Adam and Batgirl basically being created and then canceled, one of course not even seeing the light of day. SpiderMan no longer being connected to Tom Holland as another example.
I think the rule of the superhero genre is over and it has to earn that champion title again.

The age of the superhero is over. The age of Barbie begins.

Spending a vacation in Colorado, here for a Dead concert meet-up with my girlfriend's uncle.
Managed to sneak in a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park and the Stanley Hotel for the Shining tour. Whiteout conditions at the top of the Trail Ridge Road with no guardrails was a bit nervewracking.

Had the opportunity to see the eras tour in cinci this weekend. Truly impressive performance. So many moving parts.
I've never seen so many stacks of speakers but they had to fight the scream singers.
I only know about 5 songs but she hit em all.

Busy until showtime, get to parking lot, fed 3 IPAs in 30 minutes and a bit too much weed. Had to leave early. Puking. Laughingstock. In front of the hippies. A true low point. Now for a much tamer night 2.

Rallied for night 2, no issues. Incredible show, glad I was there for the entire thing and got to spend that time with some new friends.
Gotta say the downtown Boulder experience is fun for shopping/food/beers.

If you went to Casa Bonita, SnoBorderZero would legally marry you.

Guys, the wife is stuck on watching all Netflix shows with closed captioning turned on. I keep joking to turn it off and then we start to watch a foreign film that requires it and she tells me she can't do that...🫤

Oh man, I can relate. The wife started using closed captioning about 10 years ago and now I've gotten so used to it that I can't watch anything without it.

Apparently, we had a Casa Bonita here in Tulsa as well, but it closed a few years before I'd moved here.

First day back after vacation... The worst. Did you go anywhere? Portland Maine. Wife's family always goes to Maine every year and I tag along. This time it was a lake house right outside Portland. Went and got these "legendary" fried clams, had a lobster roll as well. This was the first full day. Four hours later I was in the fetal position around the toilet sweating and losing every bit of liquid inside me. But I rallied the next day with no ill feelings, it was declared a bad clam and we moved on. No one else has ever had a bad clam from there. I was eating from two giant orders that the table split amongst us all. Truly a game of Russian roulette - and I got the bullet. But kept eating seafood pretty much exclusively with no more issues to report. Delicious food, good vibes, lake was an incredible temp with all the toys imaginable at our disposal. Niece and nephew kept things interesting, went into town a few times for some chotchkeys, went to the 24/7 ll bean, stared at the ocean, only got slightly sunburnt, all that vacation stuff.
