Watched 12 Angry Men for the first time this weekend, unless I'm forgetting high school.
Just fantastic. The Lee J Cobb and Jack Klugman characters stood out to me the most, but remarkable what a few camera tricks can do to your viewing experience.
Also left with the question if George Costanza is a Jack Warden impression?

Watched 12 Angry Men for the first time this weekend, unless I'm forgetting high school. It is beyond amazing that a black-and-white movie about some blokes arguing in a room is such a great introductory text to classic movies. I remember friends in high school shuttering at the thought of watching old movies "for fun" being absolutely rivetted when 12 Angry Men was shown in a law class. |

Wild how someone like Sidney lumet could take the art form and create just seminal pieces throughout the decades. 12 angry men, serpico, dog day afternoon, before the devil knows your dead (admittedly a stretch but still incredibly watchable and an incredible feat 50 years post 12 angry men).
Never worked with a more stacked cast than angry men though.

Hmm got a night out at the movies tomorrow. Black Panther 2 or The Menu Haven't seen The Menu. Black Panther 2 is decent as MCU stuff goes. Feel like there are several better options than both in theaters this weekend. |

Hmm got a night out at the movies tomorrow. Black Panther 2 or The Menu Both are great, Black Panther is the better of the two. The Menu was a blast in a theater though. My rec would be The Menu on the basis that Black Panther will be in theaters longer. |

Interesting night at the movies last night. They played the 3D version of the Avatar trailer... for a movie that wasn't 3D, and no one had glasses. So we just looked at a fuzzy red screen for 2-3 minutes.
Then some idiot spilled water all over himself and his wife just before the movie started. A while later his phone went off because he forgot to turn of his ringer.
Yes, that idiot was me. Honestly, it was like I had never been to the movies before.
