Yes I dabbled in stock picking. Ultimately decided to only allot myself 5% of my portfolio to be my own personal picks. Too much like gambling, quite difficult to beat the market in my experience. ETFs with dollar cost averaging has been a much less stressful strategy.

I do mutual funds, but because of my job I have to do the blind trust deal. I can only buy into or sell out of the trust, tell my advisor my goals, and that firm buys and sells independently of me. |

I truly don't understand why anyone allows themselves to become a Jets fan... they've done nothing but hurt and disappoint their fanbase for decades and the Giants, a team that is at least occasionally good, is right there. The Jets aren't even, like, charmingly bad like the Cubs and supporting them isn't a tacit protest against an evil empire like the Mets. They're like the Clippers of the East. |

When my dad was a kid growing up in New York, they won the Super Bowl and Joe Namath was an icon. They were the cool new team as opposed to the stuffy old Giants. So I root for them because they're his team as well.
But yeah, unless you live in Queens or have some lineage to the Jets there's no reason to root for them. They're a dumpster of a franchise that continually disappoint.
Though I will point out they're 2-2 so far...

Kinda wishing all nations would drop the gloves and declare how unethical this is amd then get their fight on. Nuclear annihilation as Russia fearing an existential threat is also not a good reality. Why is there a 25-minute documentary on the making of “It Wasn’t Me” by Shaggy? I watched this one. Not as riveting as the Shaggy one, but that’s cause those Italian dudes were reluctant to explore their hatred for one another. They were just passive aggressive. Kinda funny. lol. I was watching Abbott elementary the other day, and subtitles were on, and it was the episode where Janine was making a tik tok to get resources, and she goes and plays the video for the othet teachers in the lounge - and there it was.
Clearly the Wilhelm scream of old, but the subtitles say, and I love them for this partially, 'howie long scream'.
And then it happens again. Howie long scream.
I love broken arrow as much as the next millennial and I appreciate this new updated title.
