Saving Private Ryan - The most devastatley realistic war movie up to that time.
The Truman Show- I'm actually luke warm on this movie but I can see its influence.
Ringu - Ushering in a golden age of Japanese horror and eventually bringing it to Hollywood.
Something About Mary - Eeeeeh....it has Brett Favre.
Armageddon - Bayplosions. In space.

I think The Royal Tenenbaums is enough Anderson representation, however Rushmore is an awesome movie that brought his unique vision to audiences. So...I don't link it has to be on the list, but it's a solid choice.

Is it too late to go back and switch out Tenenbaums? I think Rushmore is the more important film to Wes Anderson's career.

I don't see why Pi shouldn't be included. It launched Aronofsky's career (and won at Sundance and the Independent Spirit Awards). As for the other ones, I agree.
